How It's Made: Diapers
According to statistics, disposable diapers are the 3rd most common household item found in landfills, and with every single child using over 6000 of them in the first 2 years of their life, it is not hard to see why they are so common. After years upon years of development we have perfected the formula for making the ideal diaper. What does making the ideal diaper look like? Lets find out
In today's video we look at How It's Made: Diapers
Subscribe for how it's made full episodes, documentaries, and short films of how every day items are actually made. Inspired by Discovery Channel, Discovery UK, Science Channel, Bright Side, How it's Made Official, and Huggbees.

On How It's Made we will go through recaps of How it's Made Episodes, How Stuff works, and How everyday items are actually made in factory. At first I didn’t know this was a new version of how it’s made. But yes I do miss the old version of how it’s made.. I grew up watching it and learning stuff. From the other text on the toilet training. I changed my nephews diapers twice. When they were really young so they didn’t try that concept of sitting on the toilet backwards unfortunately. I guess The parents to my nephew they didn’t know about this idea. Oh well 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess everyone has there own method of teaching there kids things I wouldn’t know either, I don’t have kids.

@@borrainelocharova the reality of saying that these things take 500 plus years to decompose is that it's only a theory based on what the materials are. We haven't had plastic long enough to actually prove it takes that long to decompose. And plus the scientists that have backed up that research get their funding from people that benefit in fighting against landfill companies. In reality it's not about the health of the earth it's about money and monopoly.

@@JaneDoe-xn3ct sooooo what😭 listen to yourself? Does “3rd most common thing to go and landfill” and “500 years to decompose” sit right with you? Even just for a second? I mean I get it, a few hundred people using cloth diapers probably won’t help much against thousands of people using diapers. But come on now, at least try to care about the one earth we live on… thats like the littlest one always getting shoved and pushed around and saying “so what”. Have a millimeter of sympathy for our planet. Even if there’s nothing you can do atm. Plus you bleach your white clothes and linens anyway, why not just throw them in there? Don’t get me wrong I use disposables too, but I still show I care about the earth in other ways as well. And if the funds call for it, we can go green on diapers too😊

Are you also using non toxic soaps? Because if you aren't then those soap chemicals will at some point be reexposed to your child. Because of how frequent cloth diapers need washing, the best way to ensure its completely environmentally friendly is finding non toxic soap so we dont end up poluting our water or putting the toxic chemicals in soaps into our ground
@theonlyabberdabber
@theonlyabberdabber Жыл бұрын
@@shaddow_pet869 Most eco-friendly or plant based detergents (and diaper washing requires detergent, not soap) are not strong enough to effectively clean human waste out of multi-layer diapers. These days, it's impossible to avoid all toxic chemicals, but using cloth diapers does reduce exposure. It's also cheaper and cloth diapers won't be hanging out in a landfill in 500 years.
