where would I find the load specifications for each cylinder?

+Jack Olivas Its relatively easy to calculate, as force = pressure x area. Find the cross sectional area of the bore (Pi x r^2) then multiply that by the pressure to give you a force. If you have a double acting cylinder, there is less force on the return stroke, because you have to subtract the cross sectional area of the rod from your calcs.

This is not how these are completed anymore. It's a much more automated process. CNC Lathe's now turn the rods with G-code programming. Power tools now do all the torque as well.
