There is so much more wrong, but this video came out before the CV update and much has changed since, so it is outdated and wrong in many parts. The AA consumable is useless, starting the AA fighter when the enemy fighter enter the AA range is a waste of the consumable as they need some time to start and then they don't immediately attack, so when they start to attack the enemy planes will be long gone. Due to the short duration you fighter will be long gone before the new planes will arrive. The damage control is not unlimited on all ships, the Russian BBs have a very limited number of them. The most important information of the spotter plane they missed out totally and that will be the hardest part for any beginner. While the spotter is in the air not only the viewing angle changes, your aiming circle isn't following the ships movement either, so you need to adjust that manually and aim at the same time. Not aiming infront of the ship and then the distance, as the circle will stop to follow the ships movement. There are some tips in it, but not that much more then you would get out of the description of the skills, signals, consumables and upgrades. They should really make a new video instead on reviving the old one with slightly different text.

@@captain_loeffel defensive AA isn't useless, it's just not as good as it used to be and subpar when you're trying to defend your own ship. It's useful for protecting ships within your AA/flak range though (if you get decent RNG because planes are vulnerable to flak during a strike on an ally) but there's only a 50% increase to continuous damage so you'll shoot down a few more planes but will still be hit by a strike if it's used in self defence.

@@captain_loeffel what are you talking about , spotting plane does increase a range of battery , if you want to track them with turret , just press X as usual , the disadvantage of this consumable is also increasing shell dispersion.. Personally i saw if fire under spotting plane , i can feel the dispersion is same as tracking target .. not fully shotgun pieces when you untracking them .. And one thing , this video is the newest update for all older videos , they re providing exact informations , there is nothing useless . If you think the DFAA is useless , check your AA stat again and DFAA again , its said increase 50% of Dot dmg and 300% of flak , its mean deal more dmg in area of effect , but enemy could also dodge the flak .. no luck all skill .

Problem is that AA are nowdays so weak in. Most of damage cames from short and medium range AA wit is max 3km so the payload of planes are hitting your ship when the AA works most. In past you can increase AA range and affect the planes aiming, but that was too hard to do damage with planes so they remove that aspekt alltogeter.

Lordcrafty so after asking from a good source, they say that tactic is only effective against dive bombers (also said its situational). Here’s what they added: “cuz TBs tend to be in the attack phase (and take way less flak damage) when in AA range, and rockets are quite maneuverable/also in attack phase. Divebombers meanwhile can only initiate their attack phase when very close to the target ship, and thus are the squad most likely to cop flak.”

@@Nerdotomy yeah, they're definitely the most vulnerable to flak but if you're at the right angle from torp bombers their flight path can be in your flak zone for the entire run and continuous isn't completely ineffective in the right ship. The attack aircraft need to fly straight ahead to be effective, the most they can really do is throttle speed and they're usually paper planes anyway so get shot down fast. It certainly works best against DBs but you will still punish the other types. (from my understanding/what I've seen the torp bombers are almost invulnerable to the flak of the ship you are attacking but not to ally ships. If there is enough flak/AA they will get shredded)

It depends heavily upon the situation; what ship are you in, health, who's shooting at you, are you about to go behind an island, etc. In general you do not want to repair a single fire or flood. If only one ship is shooting at you, repairing 2 is 'ok' but if you have the health to spare and a heal, save it for 3 fires and floods. If you are being shot by more than one ship- do everything you can to disengage-go dark. Save the damage control until your dark or else you will take alot more damage.

You only lose entire squads if you eat too much flak, which is easy to dodge and flak is just a deterrent for bad CV players. The only AA stat that matters is the continuous AA dmg but even then most of the time it doesn’t prevent the CV player to do his drop. The fact that they can get a proper drop (ie a full attack squadron) out is the problem. Also being with allies sometimes just doesn’t help at all

@@Nerdotomy The flak is just ridiculous impossible to avoid after the attack, it just spam in your face and there it goes all your planes, so when we attack we make it count, one thing is attacking clueless players, but when they are on AA formation is really hard, but they ask for more nerf to CV instead .-.

Darío Ezequiel Garay not really? Every time I’ve played CV and finished my drop I’m already making my turn (either with boost or not) and cause I’m making a curved path and not a straight one the flak Guns reload and fire in the of my planes (but it doesn’t work cause I’m on my curve)

DefAA was never meant to be able to kill all planes before they can strike but to make the cv have a choice between striking you and loosing a lot of planes or just going for another target (tho ngl i wish it would increase the range of aa that would be a nice touch)

as a CV player . will analize the Ships in the enemy ( At the battle start). work out who is venerable and who to avoid . then will scout out for the team and noticing where all the targets are . Attacking the lonely ships first . ( Usually the DD's ) and keep on at the lone ships and still spot for the team . so the answer is simple . Don't go alone , Bring a buddy , use you AA direction well and Deff AA at the right time . A player who dose this will knock out the majority of the attacking planes , I know it does not Feel Like you are doing stuff to the enemy planes . . but you are if you do it properly . Deff AA and AA in general does not need buffing . . . it is fine when you use it properly and you have a buddy with you to increase the total efficiency of your AA . and if every one does this us CV players will be useless and just scouts . . . . . . . . Not really possible to have a realistic one. You'd need hundreds of players to operate a single battleship. Or at least 30-50 if you'd only want to play as officers (with a RNG deciding if your men even complate your orders), most of whom would need higher maths education.
