One coachbuilder has deliberately moved away from such jigs given the potential for wear-related play that such mechanisms are prone to ie misalignment, inaccuracy etc.

Vidéo très optimiste, ça a l'air tellement simple, mais il n'est question ici que de carrosserie, de fauteuils et de néons. Qu'en est-il de la transmission, des câbles électriques, des conduites de freins ? Il doit y avoir un travail de dingues qu'on ne nous montre pas. Amusant quand même de voir que les traverses sont positionnées au ruban de mesure, ils ne devraient pas poser la voiture sur un marbre ?

Huh. Doesn’t look very safe structure compared to the original. Nothing is protecting of side crash. There were no transverse stiffeners and they fixed sides by using screws! How are these possible to get registered?

Not with the new ones.. Now a days they have a machine that grabs both ends of a regular car, and pulls each side creating negative force this stretching the actual car.

No. The transmission tunnel they welded on wasn't even the same shape as the original. The box section they used on the sides wasn't the same shape as the original. The list goes on. Total shoddy work. I wouldn't feel safe in that car.

Folks these cars are extremely dangerous,as their are not enough exit points for the amount of people they hold,only 2 exit points for over 12 people in case of an accident or fire.It should be a law they need 2 extra exit points for a total of 4 for the passengers.Many people have died in fires and accidents due too not being able too get out due too panicking by the passengers.

I was wondering too. The limo builder I used to go to in the 1990's would put the car on rails, before cutting it and pushing the parts apart to ensure this.
