“What’s wrong with being toxic” I can actually tell you as someone who was on a tournament sports team that toxicity doesn’t help. When it came to soccer, if you were toxic no one ever wanted to pats the ball to you. Even if you were a good person to pass to. It does affect teamwork

Also it very easily affects team morale. When I'm in a lobby with toxic players, first of all I feel shit if they keep pointing all of my mistakes. And secondly, I start just wanting to get the game over as quickly as possible to get away from them. Yeah you can mute and all, but it's easy to fall into their taunting and just not do it.

I get sometimes being toxic to the other team (if there's a smurf or something on the other team it can be fun to mess with them) but you need to ALWAYS be at minimum cordial to your teammates. They are what make the game winnable or losable.
