This song is amazing, I can see why Steve wanted to record it for himself. However, it really was a Journey song and Steve's vocals are the most beautiful ever heard. Thank you Jon for writing this beautiful song.

Wow, one of the best ballads of all time. I am currently learning piano just to be able to play this song. Faithfully still brings this 59 year old to tears everytime I hear it. Thank you for such a beautiful and moving song.

The most powerful, beautiful and soul-shaking piece of music ever written and the vocals by Steve Perry just sells it as the most heartfelt and soul-driven performance that leaves me breathless every time I hear it. The guitar riff at the end of the song just breaks me. Everything about this song and the passionate manner in which it was performed rings true in every soul that hears it. It's the most powerful song and my ultimate favorite song in the whole universe. I was 12 years old when this song released and 30 years later, I am still moved as if it's the first time ever hearing it. It's truly inspired. BRAVO and thank you for sharing your gift with us!

Beautifully written this was a very emotional book for anyone who followed Journey and the relationships. The book is about Jonathan's life, and could have just as easily been named Faithfully due to all the times God's hand was on his shoulder. It was also about the Brotherhood he had with Steve Perry for all those years, and I thought it showed beautiful respect for all the members of Journey. Great book

This live, the one in Tokyo, and Eagles "Take it to the Limit" live are the most striking male vocal performances I can think of. Hopefully they don't autotune Steve as they have done with Randy. "Remastered" is a word I look to avoid seeing when listening to a recording. I prefer reality, even when there are a few blemishes, over fantasy. If they would just remix, that would be ok, but they don't stop there, they do the autotune thing. The vocals don't even sound human after that.

True, no one has a voice like Steve and could emit the emotion while singing as he does, to make a ballad sound this good. But even if u found someone with a good voice today to have sung these lyrics, it wouldn't be appreciated cuz it's a different "audience." Imo the millennials today don't have a taste for good lyrics and quality vocals; they just like to see what they think is an attractive peer (ie. Selina Gomez, Justin Bieber, etc) making sexual movements on stage singing meaningless repetitive words with all sorts of distracting audio enhancement. That's the music they worship. They have no sophisticated palette for true talent creating a quality song!
