Original sin? as in, Eve and Adam eating forbidden fruit? and that introduced this animal soul. How can a person introduce a second soul? Or was that animal soul already there and waiting for an opportunity to become activated in some way? Very interesting & confusing.

Again, Islam and Judaism has the same teaching: you carry only your own sins, not somebody else's. Nevertheless, God is The Merciful, The Forgiving. Salam...

So I believe sin isn't the same thing in Judaism or Christianity, sin has a completely different meaning and idea. Shalom Ravi, thanks for that amazing explanation.

Not all Christians believe in original sin. It is largely a Catholic belief, but I am sure other sects believe it as well.

Very nice, thank you! Sounds to me like judaism, in this regard, is more similar to buddhism than christianity or islam. But coming from totally different angles.

Excellent presentation. The Rabbi lays out the soul's route very well. For Jews and other non Christians it is through our mighty cerebrations. For Christians the road to retreival goes through the Almighty's impartations.

How can people who do not know what sin is, commit it if they were not even aware of what sin was, and why would Hashem put this temptation in the garden, free choice??? Hashem is clearly not that cruel!

I feel we have choices, but Hashem still controlled everything, and everything including time had to be set forth, so it had to happen, and I know Hashem knew it would happen, it was all part of His divine plan! Praise be to Hashem!

I agree with most of what has been said; indeed the original sin was a major cosmic event, it did not only created (what the rabbi calls animal soul) within human beings (the serpents seed, which fights with the seed of the woman), but actually introduced carnivorism and death into this world. However, to pretend that the messiah is just a political figure and is not related to the reversal of this cosmic schism, contradicts the prophecy of jesaja, which foresaw that all carnivorism on earth will end with the messianic age. Further, animal sacrifices were introduced by the schism, smth that Abel recognised through faith while Cain insisted on the mitzvah given by Elohim before the schism. Once the messiah comes, the schism will be gone, carnivorism will stop, the animal soul will disappear and all commandments given to Moses regarding the regulation of our animal soul will lose their purpose.
