Cain has assembled an armor from material originating in the Crimson Realm. Both the Bands and the Gem have essentially been destroyed though, cutting them from any direct influence. Only their property of being from that realm lets them passively leech power from there, which Cain - used to possessing and controlling this type of power - can then channel into abilities. I like this version. It makes Cain more interesting in just about every way. For one, he likes having this power, but rejects Cyttorak's plans for him. He is his own person, figuring himself out. And this now also extends to his powers. Yes, his armor originates from the Crimson Realm and is innately tied to that raw immutable force - but he is no longer tied to purely his original power set. He still defaults to using his powers like he always has, because Cain Marko is no strategist or tactical genius. He does what he knows best. However, making someone unstoppable is not the only thing we've seen Cyttorak's powers do over the years. The Bands for example are the "immovable object" counterpart to the Juggernaut's "unstoppable force". Other instances had beings related to the Crimson Realm use energy beams, some limited shape change, creating and controlling constructs, teleportation... His total power is reduced, adding more stakes to his story and he may need to conserve what "charge" his armor holds at a time - but that may lead to him discovering to use it in new and interesting ways. Make it his own.

So in other words this Juggernaut isn't at his most powerful state as he normally is? That makes me feel better about the bullshit of when D-Cel stated Hulk was more powerful and harder to hold back than Juggeranut.

@@ct229 At least I assume so. He does not have the direct blessing of Cyttorak, so no constant boost from there. Plus, what D-Cel's statement actually means highly depends on how her power interacts with the others': Juggernaut is unstoppable because no (reasonable) force can push against his momentum, allowing him to plow through just about all of the physically strongest people in the marvel universe. But if her ability directly drains his momentum without triggering that aspect (by leeching energy off while it only protects from a counter-force) he can't keep re-building it fast enough. He has super strength, but it's comparably weak and in most cases only so effective due to that conservation of momentum allowing him to ignore any obstacle or resistance. Hulk on the other hand is pure force. His answer to literally everything is brute strength. He's capable of building so much force at once that D-Cel is having trouble leeching enough. And being stuck like that annoys him, making him stronger... I see it as a rock-paper-scissors kind of deal. She is much more effective against Juggernaut because of how their powers work - but just because she has more trouble with Hulk doesn't automatically mean he would be able to stop Juggernaut.

@@SKy_the_Thunder - Cain didn't build the armor. He stole it from the person that did (who wanted to be the next avatar of Cyttorak, but had been unable to use the armor for himself).

Reading a bit in between the lines here but if you were an all-powerful prideful god of destruction, would you turn off the last vestige of your influence on another plane? I wouldn't. Better to have a free agent spreading your glorious gospel than nothing at all, left to be forgotten.

Yeah, I don't really think Cyttorak is powerless in that situation, he's just letting Cain Marko play his game. Additionally, Cyttorak powers multitudes of Juggernauts across the multiverse and parallel realities. Cyttorak not only has influence in the 616 universe, but the whole multiverse, and he even has an influence in the Ultraverse(Malibu Comis).

Rob Jefferson is WILDLY powerful He possesses seemingly infinite knowledge of multiple universes, up to and including cosmic awareness, the exact powers, histories, strengths and weaknesses of any character. He also has a whole legion of powerful allies in the form of his Rob Corps to aid him He's at least on the same level, if not higher, than most cosmic entities

seems more so that the bands were made in the early plane with no connection but had power in them and the gem being destroyed and reformed basically broke the connection, so is not really tied to the powers of dr. strange, more so just the 2 forms of power he is using are disconnected from their original source

Can someone explain how Primus stopped the Juggernaut? Primus says “I know it’s hard to breath”. Juggernaut doesn’t need air. He’s survived being encased in concrete (reference in the last comic and video) and space.

Honestly I’m really liking this series so far. It’s not the biggest/best book marvel has going rn, but it’s very fun and I love the way Caine Marko is characterized.

When I read this story my impression on why Cyderak loses control over Juggernaut is that the bands were forged by cyderak, while the gem is an extension of him. So just like a smith can’t control the sword he made after he hands it over to someone else, Cyderak can’t control the bands because unlike the gem it’s not a Part of him it’s just something he made

@@i.am.not.herbert yeah I see your point, I’ll admit it gets annoying every time she says it. I mean if Arnim Zola thinks she’s a mutant then he probably has a sensor of some sorts to sense x genes. Maybe I’m wrong on that, but I want to know what she is. I’m going with mutant, she probably doesn’t want to accept being one for some reason

Wait a second, Cyttorak made the original Gem himself, and it didn't even look difficult. He made a fist, then it appeared in his hand, just like that. In the past, when Cain didn't do his bidding, Cyttorak simply gave the power to someone else. Why doesn't he he make a new Gem and give it to a new host? The way Comic stories go that is likely to happen. Most characters revert back to their original states eventually. I'm not sure why this convoluted reason to nerf Juggernaut was necessary when Cyttorak could have just explained to Cain that he can use his powers, but when he holds back from his chaotic urges he will not be at full power, and the more he gives in to destruction and chaos the more juice he gets. Then you have a built in reason why if he is acting as a good guy that he will have less power, and then there is also the constant temptation he will have to deal with to be at full power again. That constant temptation is good drama for the character to always have to contend with. Now think how that could have played into his fight with Immortal Hulk. Cain is getting basically rag dolled, and it was not at all unlike what WWH did to Cain last time he was being a good guy. Then have a similar scenario play out. Cyttorak speaks to Cain, and says "this is embarrassing me, I could make you unstoppable again if you only give into your hatred" offering to restore him to his classic level of power. So, it would be very similar to what happened in WWH. Except this time, Cain refuses. That would be a way to show character progression. Cain would refuse, and say "no, I can still do this with a little help from my friends." The scenario could have played out very much the same, except there is the added element of temptation, that this time Cain would have found the internal strength to resist.

Rob, I continue to really enjoy your take on an interesting storyline that doesn’t involve the fate of reality. Cain will inevitably commit destruction enough to please Cyttorak. The power of Cyttorak, even his visual representation, is relatively new in Marvel, maybe 8 years, but I could be wrong. Dormammu is the mightiest mystical threat to this dimension. I remember when it was stated by the Ancient One that if Lord Dormammu manifested in our reality, nothing could stop him, not even Celestials. With so many feats to his name, Dormammu remains Dark Magic Enemy #1, all the other hell lords including Cyttorak are nothing compared to The Faltine Lord and his sister Umar.

Crimson bands of cytorakk can be accessed by any formidable magicians ,Dr doom,Magik ,brother voodoo etc all can and has used the crimson bands,so it is not Dr strange only thing
