he really didnt appologize. J-Cole litterally said that he didnt want to ruin the relationship with K-Dot which is reasonable but i wanted the competition as well. I hate how the title makes it look like Kendrick did this mega crazy diss which really he didnt. "Like that" was for drake which kinda included j cole only a little bit. As a result, J-Cole put the same energy towards kendrick as kendrick did towards him. Kendrick really didn't destroy him, he just put him in the place to say things he would retract later. It definitely does make sense that way. He only references 4 total albums. So one of his five studio albums has to be left out of the equation. The only one that isn’t up for debate is Mr. Morale (because it’s his last album) Personally it makes sense to me that he would leave out Section 80. (Even tho it’s a classic) GKMC is a masterpiece to most critics and the general public and nobody is really debating that….TPAB on the other hand is way more controversial on it being overhyped and gassed up more than it should, just look at any comment section discussing the album, it’s extremely divided. So it would make sense that Cole would take a jab at that album that gets the exact same criticism (he referenced) from kendricks fans.

I've been questioning Kdot and Cole relationship over the last few years. The album they were working on, never came close to being released. Yeah Kendrick been taking shots at Cole, but I never believed it to be personal. Kendrick just truly believe he the best rapper in the world and it's not even close. Cole people had to been itching for Cole to go at Kendrick, because they gassed him up, to do something, he never wanted to do.

I just hate how people are acting like the last 5-6 years if his career dont matter anymore because he didnt want to diss somebody he considers his peer. Clearly behind the scenes its no beef or else cole woulda known what time it was and woulda done what needed to be done.
