He lost to the celtic in 6 thats a massive failure ok that just shows how much the team he was on didnt desrve to be in the finals without him plus the center was injured. like youre talkin about how easy it was to guard kobe look at whose on the floor jordam farmar sasha vuecic lamar odom and ronney turiaf. like ira newbel and chris mhim were on that team gettin major minutes you dumbass who the fuck is gonna win with that plus you dont even know how physical the refs let the celtics get away with gasol was the same player in 2009 kobe was the same in 2009 mark jackson thought draymon green was a small forward no wonder he isnt a coach anymore nor does anyone want him he was soft but andrew bynum was back in 2009 . the magic had dwight howard the only reason the celtics won was because they had a wayyyyyy better team than the lakers. you show like 2 plays from every series and be like this happened all series the lakers got out muscled in 2008 bruh you were probably like 10 years old at that time cause you sound like a little dumbass lebron fan talkin about "better defense stopped Kobe from gettin a championship without shaq"(in my bitch dom2k voice) they had noone to cover kobe like paul pierce". lol this guy Kobe averaged 25.7 in that series and gasol the one of the greatest players ever averaged 14.7 in a 6 game series for real bro youre sayin that kobe is the reason they lost cause he wasnt passing to who youre an IDIOT soooo tired of your videos in my suggestions its awful youre a little kid you didnt even see kobe like that man KOBE AVERAGED 25.7 HAD 28 REBOUNDS 16 STEALS AND 30 ASSITS IN 6 GAMES IN THAT FINALS WHILE KG PAUL AND RAY ALL AVERAGED 20 AND THEY HAD 3 OF THE BEST DEFENDERS IN THE LEAGUE ON THEIR TEAM AT THE TIME IN JAMES POSEY TONY ALLEN AND KG STOP ITS SIMPLE MATHEMATICS WHY THEY LOST BRO NO CHANGE OF CULTURE NONE OF THAT BULLSHIT you dont know how he was the same player in 09 08 2010 06 07 05 he had AWFUL TEAMS YOU ASSHOLE SHUT UP TALK ABOUT HOW LEBRON HAD TO GO TO MIAMI TO LOSE TO THE MAVERICKS OR HOW STEPH CURRY HIDES BEHIND DEFENSE THEN GETS ALL THE CREDIT CAUSE HE HAS THE MOST POINTS BUT NEVER THE MOST CRUCIAL BLOCKS OR STEALS OR ASSISTS BUT HES THE SOUL OF THE TEAM OOOOOKK HOW ABOUT CAN KD LED A TEAM TO A CHIP WITHOUT A GREAT TEAM THAT IS STILL IN THE FINALS WITHOUT HIM AND MOST OF THIER ROSTER SINCE WE ALL KNOW HE HASNT BUT HES ALWAYS ON SPORTSCENTER EVEN THOUGH HE DOESNT DO ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT BUT SCORE AND GETS CREDITED OF BEING THE BEST SCORER IN HISTORY SMH YOURE AN IDIOT BRO HOW ABOUT SHAQ HOW MUCH DOES HE WIN WITHOUT GREAT PLAYERS UM NOT AT ALL BUT HES THE MOST DOMINANT.

I always got respect for you bro. You're the biggest lebron fan and celtics fan. But you tell it how it is man, thats why you're my favorite nba youtuber. NBA twitter acts like they've been watching games since jordan was playing and use stats to analyze player ranking. Unless you actually watched it you know... I was 11 years old when kobe beat up on the magic and you could just tell he was the best player in the game. lebron was good back then, but kobe really outsmarted people that year and throughout the rest of his career. He was really the best player in the game in my mind anyway from 06-10

While Celtics in both the 2008 and 2010 playoffs were better than the Magic defensively, Magic were still #1 ranked defense. Courtney Lee was undersized and no match but Pietrus was almost the exact same size as Kobe at 6'6 215lbs. Individually Kobe had a much better Finals in both 2009 and 2010. But there was a lot else going on in 2009 and 2010. 2008 Pau Gasol had only played 27 games for the Lakers in the regular season and 15 in the playoffs before getting to the Finals, that's usually not enough to really find your role on team. Gasol bulked up in the offseason and was much better at banging with Howard and KG/Perkins in the following Finals. Bynum was out in '08 which hindered our inside presence, and though he struggled with a bad knee in both finals having that extra size and allowing Odom to come off an otherwise weak bench is a huge difference. Ariza and Artest for their respective Finals were huge upgrades at SF from Radmanovic and Walton. Ariza did play some in the 2008 finals but very limited minutes due to an injured foot buried behind Vlad, Walton, Sasha, and Farmar on the bench basically having no effect. While 2008 Lakers were no slouch on defense both the 2009 and 2010 Lakers were playing much better defense in the playoffs.

I just commented something similar. You are absolutely correct sir. I can tell that you may have actually been watching this series and the Lakers as all this was actually unfolding. Not saying they would've won, but if the Lakers had the 09 roster in 08, that series goes 7. Hell they went 6 with what they had. For some reason people hardly ever deal in shypotheticals when it comes to Kobe but when it comes to other NBA greats there are always alot of "what ifs".

Could you do a video on the lakers rebuild after trading shaq? What most people say was that the lakers were bad until they traded for gasol, but there were other moves leading up to the gasol trade, for example, getting odom in the shaq trade, signing radmanovic, trading for arias, drafting and developing Bynum, vujacic, turiaf, and farmar. The lakers were had a record of 28 wins and 15 losses before making the trade for gasol, and the gasol trade put them over the top

Bynum and Gasol is why it was easier for Kobe they were solid big men. They made those zones have to stick to their guys. When you have one big guy rolling and the other just sitting on the opposite block, it changes alot of things. If Bynum was a threat in 08. Great analysis Dom, but being a Lakers fan who watched this series live as it was transpiring, it's a few things that should be highlighted. Remember Bynum didn't play in the 08 finals and Ariza was coming off of a broken leg. Pau playing the 5 instead of the 4 made a BIG difference, especially against that Celtics team! Check the Lakers record before Bynum went down for the year. The Lakers were showing out that season. With that being said, the Lakers possibly still would've lost the series regardless, but it would've went 7. Hell it went 6 with the shit they had and were pulling already! lol EDIT: they had Luke Walton and Chris freaking Mihms playing minutes in the NBA FINALS! LMAO
@40III
@40III 5 жыл бұрын
Gary Wade Just having Bynum out there would’ve taken all that attention Kobe was getting away from him. They could’ve broke down the Celtics defense (which was top notch) if Bynum was out there. They didn’t have an answer for him plus Pau (he was super soft in that series) would’ve been playing his natural position. Celtics were just loaded and too much for the Lakers to handle at that point. They were healthy and the Lakers weren’t.
