Radar jamming is incredibly illegal so it’s radar detection and laser jamming.

They have and those require more sophisticated anti-jamming techniques.

Laser diodes don't have the ability to change their output frequency like that. You don't see many multicolored laser pointers, for example, right? They're always red or green or whatever. The unpredictableness currently is being done by varying the pulse pattern so that the laser jammer doesn't know what's coming next. There are jammers that can handle variable pulse rate lidar guns, but they require more sophisticated jamming algorithms than what I've addressed in this video.

Ah fun! There’s multiple jammers that work great without GPS. Knowing their own speed isn’t necessary. :)

In theory, but in practice laser guns require many pulses in series to ensure they have a good lock on a vehicle. Typical acquisition time is around 1/3 of a second and at 200 pps, that’s 67 consecutive pulses.

Laser diodes would overheat and be unable to cope with doing that. Old laser jammers that used brute force techniques that would do what you describe (see my other video on that) had to shut down after transmitting for a few seconds because it puts so much strain on the diodes.

lol, sounds like jamming laser would be the least of your worries. You'll get to your destination before the officer even has a chance to recognize that you're approaching. :D

It’s common for people to think that, yeah. The reason it’s not done that way is that thinking misses out on many practical misconceptions and technical challenges. Barring all that, then yeah that’d be great. :)

Lakshitha Dias I think it more has to do with the cop know for example as a cop I would know that if some blew past me 100KPH I wouldn't need to know there speed and would go after them and use Radar to clock there speed. It doesn't take a radar or lazer reading above a certain speed.

I guess it could as soon as it determined the algorithms, but cops are pissed enough at jammers as it is, do you really want a case in court where drivers are now not only jamming but fooling laser guns into reading wrong? you are opening a whole can of worms, in addition, how is the laser jammier supposed to know how fast you should be going , I guess you could connect to an app like Waze and show legal speed, but what if it is wrong ? what if the jammer messes up and shows the officer 150 mph instead of 60. The magic of jammers is that lidar guns are imperfect devices, some cops rather use radar because of this, it requires perfect aim, and the type of vehicle often times means a delayed lock, I have twice defeated a laser operator because my vehicle is black, has small head lights and it has a round flat hood (2008 honda civic and we have no front plate in florida) so while the officer is standing there trying to get my lock at a far distance my V1 alerted me plenty to slow down, because of this jammers are effective as long as they have JTG sleep mode, if the officer can not get a reading for 4 seconds the officer will assume it is normal for his LIDAR to take a bit longer on some vehicles, when it is a complete JTG it does raise eye brows though

yes it is, i floor it where is possible, ask drivers in formula why do they go fast, why do not they race slow, i save money for speed- fuel and tyres, by not giving to church and priests
