Whatever the case, it was really nice this man sold to Logan. I know it was for a lot of money but he was really emotionally attached to the cards so it was nice of him.

This guy really deserves his 10’s to be graded… he’s a true connoisseur of Pokémon and he’s been collecting it forever! I’m pretty sure I met him at a Pokémon club that I used to go to at Peter piper pizza weekly.

Logan actually cracked the slab open and sent it to BGS. If you send them a card in a slab they’re not going to crack it because then they’re liable for damages.

For those who don’t know there’s still a lot of debate around this. A common theory and one I like is that company B in direct competition with A doesn’t like to share perfect grades, when the card was send to be cross graded it was still in A’s case and came back 9.5 when Logan bought the card he knew this and broke the case and removed said card so B didn’t know and because of that it came back with a 10 all be B wants to appear at a higher standard to A.

I also think it might’ve had something to do with the fact that Logan broke the card out of its original case and presented it as an ungraded card I remember that being like the biggest gambling part of the video, it’s not like Logan just gave him the PSA in the case and got lucky he had to gamble and potentially get a worse grade whereas this guy tried to give them pre-graded cards still in the case, so it wasn’t worth it to them

It's because of the competition between becket and psa. Logan knowing becket won't grade it a 10 if it shows it is a psa, he cut the card out of the psa case and turned it in to becket resulting in a 10.

my friend is a finance guy in NY, only bring this up bc hes loaded, and card flipping is his big time hobby. He told me he pays more to send his cards to a middle-man company, who sends them in bulk to get graded instead of doing it himself. He swears that they get graded more liberally that way and he ends up making more money

This is true. The grading companies, PSA, BGS, they give 10s to cards which are not really 10s for marketing so that people will think it is easy and valuable.

Logan tells the story a little more detailed lol. The way he got a Beckett 10 was by ripping it out of the PSA packaging and taking up to them raw. They had no predisposition on the card being previously graded so they felt it was a 10

Grading companies, even in comics, do not do that. For you to get it re-graded, you have to break the psa case and submit the card to beckett in its raw form. You run the risk of getting a beckett 9 or 9.5 or 8 for your psa 10. Worse, if you somehowq damage your card while breaking the case or if your card gets damaged during the shipping process.

What they didnt say is that becket and psa have a battle going on. So if a psa case is delivered at becket they just refuse. Logan cut the psa 10 char OUT of the box and send just the card to becket, so they just assumed it’s a new find or at least; not graded before. He just outplayed everyone

A lot of grading companies will put a lower grade on perfect cards because they need to keep the perfect grade numbers low so the prices stay up

Everyone knows that card grading companies give better grades to businesses that submit a lot of cards or celebrity/athlete types. Me and a buddy had 10 psa 10s and 6 Beckett black label 10s that were submitted from a card shop for grading. We took them all out and sent them in for grading and none of them came back higher than a 9. We took them out again and resubmitted through the shop and 14 came back as 10s from either company.

He has got a lot of backlash lately for getting in bed with the company that produces those crappy mystery boxes that he actually opened up on his stream through three volumes of it.
