I have a dual fuel 2400 champion I was able to run my ac unit as long nothing else is used on propane

Nice! I've since added a softstart to the 15k AC and can run it off one generator - although its running pretty fast and therefore is quite loud at that load. The newer 2500 dual fuels are the sweet spot - although running them in parallel keeps the rpms down and are overall quieter.

I opted for two predator 5000's for similar reasons. Gives me dual fuel options which go great with my two 30lb propane tanks. And I can pick them up easily into my truckbed or front storage compartment in my fifth wheel.

watching this in a house in Surfside after my generator exploded ...three pieces and a fiery boom on a 92 degrees after the hurricane jacked up everything

@incognito8448 damn you lived off that thing. That generator, if the 60000 hours is true, ran for nearly 7 years straight if ran 24/7.

it ran ten years five month , my house never pulled enough to make it groan , diesel every three days,serviced (oil change and cleaned every six months) I got my ten grand (total for gen and rebuild) out of it...I have no expectations this generac I had to buy is going to last that long

It is my experience that an exchange gives you 15 pounds of propane, taking it to be filled gives 20 pounds of propane but takes a little bit of time and they both cost the same. Within a dollar. I only exchange when my tank is old.

I refill when its convenient and exchange when I have to. Best practice is to only open one tank at a time - that way I always have time between running one tank dry and completely running out on the rig. Thanks for watching!!!

seem like a double waste, 2 generators and propane. The gasoline is much cheaper than propane. Get a decent small generator and run your AC. Me personally, i would keep the generator in the truck bed and get a longer cable.

AC on propane??? ahhhhhh, tricked me into clicking. 🤪Dont know if that is a genius or bad idea. But I can run my 15k btu on one honda 2200 on propane

I assume you have a softstart installed? Running off propane the generators won't produce as much power as when burning gasoline

@@rvgearandfar Yes I installed a softstart. That is on my channel. Cheaper than 2 gens, and better fuel mileage too. I have always read that propane does not produce as many watts. But I can get well over the 1800 running watts on propane. I have hit the 2200 max watts for several minutes on propane. The gen did not die, my load just changed. But both levels are well above my AC draw. I can run AC and charge batts at the same time.
