My father has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at the age of 68. I'm praying he can be saved!! Love to you all who are going through it!

My mom was only diagnosed 4 weeks before she died. It had spread to her bone marrow.. it was EVERYWHERE in her body. I was in disbelief until I saw the scan myself. I broke down and lost all hope. My heart goes out to anyone having to suffer through this.

5 years she has survived Stage 4 Lung Cancer! WOW! She is a huge inspiration.

I have metastatic breast cancer to lung, lymph, ribs, spine and long bones. I've been "getting by" for just over 2 years now, still up and walking and breathing fine. I get scans again in a few weeks and so far so good. I'm on hormone blockers to stop the metastasis and so far they're working fairly well. Don't give up hope. Just live your life, enjoy what you can and don't look at the calendar or the clock.

I lost my sister 3-4-21 from small cell lung cancer. She had chemotherapy which gave her two more precious years with us. I miss her so much, she was my best friend.

My dad had small cell. He had an X-ray that was blank. Nothing. 8 weeks later he was coughing up blood. It’s already met to liver and bone. He died Thanksgiving weekend. Did not have a chance to even do one round of chemo. We miss him so much ❤

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in June 2005...told us he had until Christmas....then maybe Halloween.....by July 25th, 2005....he passed away. He lived a month. Very aggressive cancer. Watching him go through it was the most difficult time of my life.

Depends almost entirely on the type. A small cancer can be completely removed, and that same person can die within months...or a bigger area can exist and that person live for years. Last Feb 2022 my father was Diagnosed with Stage 4 lungs cancer and After some cycle of chemotherapy with the time of 8 months.Once night he just sleep as usual and during sleep like 7 in the Morning my father’s oxygen Saturation level goes down from 90 to 40 and at the same rate heart beat down and All goes to zero within seconds and really its Soo Painful for whole life. Lost my aunt and cousin due to terminal lung cancer in less than 6 months. Not painful but difficult to breath and multiple pneumonia until they passed away. When diagnosed it is mostly in the last stage. One of the most deadly cancer. Don't smoke people. Please take good care of yourself.

Today is the 15th Month since my stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis and targeted therapy treatment. I do not intend to opt for further treatment if the present medication starts to fail. Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst but living life to the best that I can this Covid-19 pandemic. My brother died three months ago and got diagnosed and undergo check up for almost 3 months before he died. 😭 We are still have questions why it gets so fast.. he is a strong man and why all of the sudden , he felt difficult in breathing and chest pain and also has a blood on his continuous cough.. 😔😔

My fiance was diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer last July 2021, he's responding well to the treatments but he feels like he's not going to survive, he said he is just swollen all over, we're waiting for his next scans, last chirstmas, we got news that tumors in his lung are almost gone, the ones in the brain and lymph nodes shrunk by 50%. I am trying to stay hopeful but some days I just break down too As of June 1 2023, his lung and lynphnode tumors are gone. He lives life fairly normal, he can perform chores like everyone but he was told not to go back to work for now. We are going through another hurdle as his latest head scan shows a total of 4 tiny lesions, he may have go through another rounds of radiation therapy and he'll have a whole body scan to see if he's still clear in the other areas. We were saddened by the new hurdle but were trying to stay positive and I am standing by him. As of Oct 2023 He only has a 1.5 cm tumor in the brain left, it is really scary since the doctor said they didn't know why the radiation didn't take it out and that he may have to undergo a brain surgery for it, the doctor is still looking into it . We're waiting for their decision. He is healthy otherwise, he does things normally, is not in any pain and his hair is growing back.

My brother who lives in Philippines was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, now after a recent MRI found out that cancer cells have spread in his spine that made him paralyzed and his kidneys too, complications with pnemonia they stop his chemotabs and currently treating his pnemonia conditions first, we are still hopeful he will surpass this so he can continue his chemotabs.

My wife's mother had sadly passed of stage 4 small cell lung cancer November 7, 2021 and...now my wife has the same but stage 3. I believe I'm more horrified than my own wife. I'm 44 and she's just 38. We have three beautiful children together. Breanna just turned 19 , Hannah is 6 and Noah is 15. My wife and kids are still deep in grief of losing their Mom/Mema and now my wife! 😞😢 Only Hannah knows of her Mom's cancer but we're terrified to tell her brother and sister who both have mild Autism. I searched this because my MOM got diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. I am trying to learn more about it and so worried. Im always 24/7 on alert. For some reason I noticed that recently her face is more puffy than usual and her eating is not good. Im worried and so nervous to the point like there are so many questions going to my head. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer…it started will melanoma….it was big deep, was bleeding….had the surgery…did a pet scan, it had spread to my lung….this almost 2 years ago….just got finished a year of immunity therapy….no fun…..I keep wondering how long I have on earth….doctor will not tell me….

My Grandmother died from lung cancer back in 1998 she was actually going to the doctor for something else she thought she was having heart trouble and here it turned out it was stage 4 lung cancer she only lived about a month after she found out she wasn't very old whenever she passed she was only 59.

2/13/24 called 911 because of possible stroke for 86 yr old mom. In the ED, we learned Mom has stage 4 lung CA metastasized to her throat, brain, adrenal glands (from 2nd hand smoke exposure- she’s never smoked in her life, but Dad did; casino smoke, growing up post WW2, era). On 2/21/24, follow up appointment with her Primary MD said because of her “poor prognosis”, it’s a miracle she left the hospital (on2/17/24) and is able to walk on her own. Hospice care, hospital bed, O2 machine w/back up tank & medical devices in place at her home. People can’t believe she’s up, walking talking and still mostly herself. No need for: cardiac MD to follow her, MRI, surgery, chemotherapy, or finger stick blood sugars to monitor her DM. Radiation for pain relief only, but she denies it. Primary MD said no good time estimate because of the stage & spread of the disease - could be days, months or a year; I’m puzzled. I’ve done all the denials, hysterical crying, etc., but every additional day I have w/her is precious. What should I expect?

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and with 1 month he was gone. He only passed last month in February and I’m still trying to understand what has happened and how quickly it happened. It’s just like a puzzle with missing pieces. It doesn’t make sense.
