It personally took me around a year... I started in the beginning of 2022, after I went to Mexico in April 2022, I was so motivated and I watched telenovelas (Teresa) daily, and watched KZfaq videos by Spring Spanish and Butterfly Spanish + taking notes, and 3 months after I was speaking a bit and understanding everything very well. I continued even chatting with Mexicans and Spaniards (because I live in Europe). By now I speak honestly very well and have a certificate (B1)❤️

I don't believe you. One year is only going to give you a superficial level in a language.

@@theymademepickaname1248 Wdym? Spanish is considered one of the easiest languages to learn. Why would it take longer? Plus I moved countries a lot and have experience learning different languages since I was a kid. Just because you don't succeed at learning Spanish, doesn't mean that everyone else doesn't either.

I do not learn it before. Learning Spanish is difficult for me, so I still use translation machines like Google Translate or Immersive Translate to help me translate some posts or videos created in Spanish 😂😂😂

I love you guys. But without the subtitles, I'm lost. How do I look up a word when I don't know what you're saying. If you have to go all español, the n at least can you do subtitles so I can figure out what you're saying? And I do love your classes, don't get me wrong. Gracias!

There an machine generated transcript that has time stamps and is pretty accurate because Paulisíma enunciates very well. Look for a Show Transcript button under the video description.

This is targeted more at beginning intermediate learners. If you are just starting, I recommend watching lessons targeted at beginners who are starting out. It takes time and consistency, but you will get there little-by-little.

Subtitles are available here, may be computer generated. The browser extension "Language Reactor" is a big help for subtitles and translations.

Llevo 10 meses aprendiendo español para mi trabajo, ya que hay muchos hispanohablantes allá, la mayoría de los cuales son de México. Afortunadamente, mi trabajo se ha convertido en algo como un taller de español para mí. Gracias a Dios que tengo colegas que hablan español e inglés, entonces puedo pedirles ayuda si tengo problemas de entender o hablar. Dicho esto, parece que debemos ser pacientes con nosotros mismos, ya que, al menos para mí, es tan fácil sentirme no estoy mejorando como debería.

Una pregunta mejor sería: "¿A qué edad empezaste a ir a la escuela?". Y, ¿ya hablabas un idioma? Así que, ¿llevabas unos seis años aprendiendo tu idioma? ¿Lo hablaba con fluidez? ¿Cuántos años más "aprendiste" esa lengua para poder hablar de cualquier tema? Hmmm . . .
