How long does it take to place a dental implant?
Well, this will depend on many factors, but let's say, for example, that we are going to place a single implant, that is, one that replaces only one piece.
From the outset, if the conditions are correct, that is, we have a sufficient amount of bone, good gums and others, the normal time that it takes us in our consultation is around 30 minutes.
This time can be even shorter in cases of post-extraction implants. namely. those that are placed immediately after extracting the tooth because it largely avoids having to prepare the bed and on many occasions it also avoids having to suture the area.
In other cases, for example, where some type of graft is required, this time could take a little longer.
Here we are only talking about the placement of the implant itself.
In order to have the final crown in the mouth, you normally have to wait about three months, which is the time it takes for the implant to integrate with the bone.
