I survived multiple pulmonary embolisms about 6 weeks ago. Am glad to still be here. I had intense back pain for 5 years, that disappeared after I had them. I wish they would teach this kind of thing in school, I had never heard of them. I am late 40's.

Got a couple of questions I've had it and want to know how long does it last, does it ever go away completely, and does it leave damage.

I had a large two or three years ago. Your body is supposed to to get rid of it on its own. I was left with an enlarged heart valve.

@jmcc2275 that's not good at all I was on blood thinners the injection form for a while and then tablets but I have not been taking them for 3 years know
