After completing the 2 years of housemanship, am I considered a M.O who can start working as a general practitioner? Or, do I have to work the extra 2 years(as stated in the video) to become a M.O to start working as a general practitioner? Because I’m planning to become an Aesthetic Doctor in malaysia after I become a general practitioner, so I’m abit confused about how to become a general practitioner first.

Hi. May i ask after the housemanship for 2yrs . If you have your own clinic for 2 yrs can you opt for Specislist studies. ? Or you need to work as a doctor in a hospital public or private for 2 yrs to get a M.O. ? And whst is MRCP? You can do MRCP during Housemanship? Or while you are working to be a MO ( medical officer)? Sorry. Confusing . Tq.

Hi rebecca can u pls tell abt imu like the lecture hours I heard it's only 2 a day and monash has from 8-5 does the duration of the lectures matter and which course is more recognised pls help

Hello! We only have about 3 lectures per day with other classes like CSSC and labs. One lecture will be for an hour only! I feel that the duration of lectures dont really matter because when you're in university, you are required to study on your own most of the time and with that, lectures are not compulsory ( at least for imu, haha ). Both IMU and Monash's medical degree is very well known and recognised! hehe

Hi! If I am enrolled in IMU and am planning to complete my 5 years of medical school in Malaysia, do I still get the chance to go abroad for specialisation? And how do I know which university gives accreditation to IMU?

Hello Sarah, yes of course you can go abroad for specialisation. You just need the money HAHA IMU is recognized quite widely around the world but you can email IMU or just google for it

I'm actually a foundation in science graduate. However my spm requirement is not enough, i didnt have one subject which is Biology for my spm level. I really want to be a doctor, therefore I had to wait for 2021 spm and register the subject. Once i obtain my results by next year i already will be 21 years old.... that time only can pursue medicine.. am i too old.. in your first year what age is the oldest in the course???

Hello!!! NO! THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT TO STUDY MEDICINE/ TO PURSUE YOUR DREAMS!! HEHE I don't really know everyone in my batch but the oldest I know was 27 years old!

May I know is it mandatory to serve in Malaysia's government or public hospital for a Malaysian graduated from overseas renowned medical university who already has 7 years of working experience as a specialist (surgeon) before he/she can apply for a position in Malaysia's private hospitals?

Hello! If you have already specialized, I don't think that you have to serve in the government before establishing your career here. I thjnk you can apply directly for private hospitals!

Hello! You have to choose either one of the oned you mentioned or a-levels hehe You will need a premed course before entering med school!
