The immobiliser is a digital immobiliser that protects a vehicle through disabling its mobility by sending
the appropriate commands to the cars controllers. The code blocking can be done by both CAN BUSes
and/or LIN BUS - depending on the vehicle. It’s also possible to break an electric circuit using an analog
cut with a solid-state control output (1A load) (DIG1 output).
The immobiliser can be connected to an external car alarm system as an additional layer of security. It can
also provide extra security in cars with keyless entry. If the device is connected to an external system,
such as a GPS/GSM tracker, remote immobilisation from this device will take priority over any disarming.
Unlike other car security systems this immobiliser can be installed on electric cars, and can be used in car
sharing.
When the immobiliser is armed, there are few possible ways of protecting the vehicle from theft,
depending on the car model, fittings, engine/drivetrain (diesel, petrol, hybrid, mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid,
H2
, EV), gearbox (manual, automatic with a gear lever, automatic with an electronic selector):
Preventing the engine from starting,
Engine shutdown - it’s possible to start the engine, but it stops when the thief attempts to drive the
vehicle away:
For vehicles with automatic transmission, the engine stops when the gear stick is moved from
the P position,
For vehicles with manual transmission, the engine stops when the clutch pedal is pressed.
Preventing the vehicle from moving - the immobiliser allows you to start the engine, but you are not
able to drive away. The engine is not shot down,
Preventing the ignition from being switched on - the immobiliser does not allow you to switch on the
ignition.
The immobiliser’s microcontroller may include programs for all declared vehicles. The connection diagram
shows the program number specific to that car as well as the supported engine types and blocking
method.
Service mode
WARNING - in the service mode the dashboard indicator does not indicate that the service mode
is active and the car is not protected - the car owner, after picking the vehicle up from
servicing, should immediately switch the service mode OFF. During normal operation, the
device indicates (by the dashboard indicator light) whether it has been armed or disarmed.
Remember to show the customer how to enable/disable the service mode when handing over the
car.
To switch the service mode ON using the pin code - turn the ignition ON, disarm the immobiliser by
entering the previously set PIN code and holding the last programmed button for 10 seconds. If you
successfully managed to enable the service mode, the indicator on the dashboard will blink 5 times
informing you that the service mode has been switched on successfully.
To switch the service mode OFF using the pin code - just enter the PIN code holding the last button
until the dashboard indicator blinks once.
Disarming the immobiliser using the emergency code scratch card
If the user has forgotten the PIN code (and, in the case of devices with a wireless module, it is not possible
to disarm the device with a transmitter or a smartphone), use the emergency code scratch card attached
to the device. Instructions for use are on the scratch card.
After using the emergency code, the immobiliser will not secure the vehicle until a new pin code
is set (or, in the case of devices with a wireless module, until a transmitter or a smartphone
appears within the signal range) - inform the client about it.
Unlocking the immobiliser with an emergency code does not work in vehicles where the
immobiliser prevents the ignition from being switched on.
To unlock the vehicle with the emergency code, the immobiliser must be armed
The emergency code may be used multiple times.
