Maybe Luke wIll seek this weapon and it is the real reason he is gone in the sequels, it is more important to find it and safe everyone, the entire universe, he left his Clone Luuke behind, the Luke in Last Jedi is not Luke, he is Luuke, this is why using the force killed him, we have seen the cloning project in canon, we know they have Lukes hand, so maybe we get Luuke in canon soon. Mother Towsand helped almost anyone who asked her for help but there was seemingly 2 costs. 1 ) was no betrayal (which everyone betrayed her in the end and she betrayed everyone to be fair). 2) A pact was formed usually in blood (specifically with dark side servants, Obi Wan and Anakin just were given information without the blood cost). My point is, it will be interesting for Luke to gain the Night Sisters assistance because he has no leverage as the Jedi aren’t threateningly powerful as before but if you’re right and they feel betrayed by Thrawn then it’s on and let the betrayal begin.

I think Thrawn will have some contingency to control the Great Mothers and the Nightsisters in season 2. He would surely prepare for any sort of betrayal by them and I am hopeful that contigency will be the Ysalamiri which Thrawn gathered in Legends just as much to keep his Mad Jedi ally Joruus C'Baoth in check as he did as a weapon to be used against Luke Skywalker and of course the other uses he found for it when it came to cloning.

I think it's not too clear who currently possesses the mortis dagger. I just want to know how the pyramidal structure on peridea in the distance with the light atop it, exists after the one in clone wars is destroyed. Perhaps mortis works similarly to the world between worlds, if the lothaal temple containing the portal was destroyed, there is probably other such portals. But would it mean there would be other fonts of power and pools of knowledge, or do they merely relocate elsewhere, after the dagger is used on the rare instance of the father being stabbed by it? Its a stretch but maybe the night sisters fleeing peridea means they are unaware of this weapon, unless they have encountered Abeloth before and lived.

I hope the great mothers some how help mother Talzins spirit come back like maul did in the comics.

How amusing i was hoping one day Luke will show up and battle with Abeloth in the show.

I don't think that abeloth is what Baylan is looking for because most fans have no idea what the mortis gods are and besides rebels and clone wars that talk about them a little most fans never read the legends stories I believe that baylan just like Ezra is looking for the entrance to the world between worlds and the light on the mountain top is the temple and the entrance that is what the statue is pointing at Just like in Rebels

Most people don't get what Baylan is looking for. - He mentioned that he's looking for the beginning (on Peridia). - Before the arrival on Peridia, he answered to Shin saying something like "power, such as you never dreamed" and just before that, he said "a new beginning"... So what is the beginning? The beginning would be the pool of knowledge and fountain of power, that's one of the "fairy tales" the Jedi were telling. Also, remember that Baylan started saying "something calls to me" but only when he arrived on Peridia, meaning that, whatever calls to him, it started when he arrived on Peridia. Why so? Because out of all Force users that arrived, he seems to be the strongest and if Filoni is gonna be accurate with the lore and such, Abeloth was "calling" Jedi and Sith before, through the Force. So the "calling" thing, could be Abeloth, also, one fact, when she became Abeloth, The Father, took his children and left her stranded on that planet which drove her to madness, to the point were the planet started dying slowly, only because Abeloth was there. The name of that planet never came up (it's not Mortis) and Peridia doesn't really look healthy to me. Also, the Father statue pointing at the pyramid, could be Abeloth's prison, which she escaped and was brought back in. Each time she escaped, the Son and the Daughter would return to the Killiks and defeat Abeloth, locking her back in her prison. This cycle repeated itself for thousands of years until the death of the Ones in 21 BBY. - Key info "until the death of the One's". I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Why would Baylan want to wake Abeloth?

The prophecies need to be discussed. What are they? Yoda refers to them a lot, as did Qui-Gon. Besides a handful of Jedi, THE SITH dedicated themselves to the prophecies. What the Sith encountered out on the rim were trans-Galactic force using races, each of them at least as powerful as the Sith, and some like Abeloth, too powerful. The Sith knew they alone were not enough, and there were ancient prophecies about the rift in the Jedi order into dark and light sides, and that one day there would be a threat so dire that the Galaxy could only be saved when the two sides united. The Sith presumed this prophecy involved individuals who were both dark and light, so they intentionally bred into the light side royal family, so to speak. This is who Anakin's mom was, and Anakin represented a potential combination of genes from both sides (Palpatine being his father). Anakin was too dark to be the Chosen One, and he goes full Sith with his yellow and then red eyes. Luke was too light to fully serve as a Harlequin Jedi, so to beat Abeloth and other trans-Galactic threats, he sometimes fought alongside a Sith Lord, presumably one with some light in him to balance out Luke a bit.
