I’ve never experienced salespeople in luxury stores being mean to me and I am not rich, nor do I look it. I once went into the Chanel store in Hawaii and the sales lady was one of the kindest humans I’ve ever met. I told her I was into fashion and she gave me a tour of the store and when I told her I was embarrassed for being in the Chanel store looking like a beach bum with sand between my toes from being on the beach all day, she told me “no need to apologize! You’re on vacation, this is how you’re supposed to look!” And she let me touch all the display pieces and taught me about them. She gave me a special experience that I’ll never forget.

this video is prime content, the worse is when this people think everyone is jealous of their stuff, imagine how low your self esteem can be to beg to buy a bag, and try to convince a a employee of a multibillion dollar corporation you deserve that bag, and that bag he is selling is probably 4x his monthly salary, the luxury industry now is a joke, is sad, luxury should be an item exclusively made for you, tailored for your body, with the best fabrics, and what is insane, is cheaper to make a brandless one of a kind clothe with the best fabrics available, than buy a card holder from Chanel or Hermes, a few years ago I went to a tailored clothe shop, asked for a tweed jacket, he said they use the same tweed of Chanel, when they create the design I was together, so I could ask anything I like, I end up paying around 800 dollars, and took less than two weeks to be done, is a one of a kind piece, made for my body, with the best fabrics available, a ready to wear mass produced Chanel Jacket cost at least 8 thousand dollars, with the tweed I choose can go up to 10/12 thousand, in my case is one of a kind so will go to the Haute Couture Category, it can cost up to 100 thousand euros, lets sink in for a moment, is just a jacket, is a piece of cloth assemble for a human body, my jacket was carefully done, I was involve with the design, and took some time to do, but there is nothing complicated, any seamstress with a minimum knowledge can produce, and 800 dollars is not cheap, but for me is a fair price for the service I was given, I have this jacket for around 5 years, I worn many many times, and still brand new, but with the same amount of money I can buy a Keychain at Chanel, Ill never ever understand that, how people can be so full and stupid to worship a brand,

Don’t you think that some people could easily spend 10-100k in the same way as you spend 100? If there is an industry which makes 10-20k bespoke suits, it means that there is a demand for this product. Note more and not less.
@gustavoc.30126 күн бұрын
@@NaVirazhah I totally understand your point, but there is no way to justify this prices, is just about the brand, if you are a millionaire and want lets say a diamond necklace, you can go to a prestigious jewelry maker(brand less) chose the best stones, even the design and gonna cost a fraction of something with less quality from a jewelry brand, Tiffany will charge 100k for something they made hundreds, and 100k can make you something 10x better without the brand, I ll never understand someone who works hard for the money pay thousands of dollars for a piece of cloth, I understand if you pay for rare stones, exotic leather, If one day I have millions to spend Ill never step on a luxury brand shop, Ill wear clothes made for me, create amazing pieces, and on daily basis I dont need logos, seriously who needs a 3 thousand dollar jumper full of CC, LV, FF, GG, thats for me is so tacky, they want to show off they have money, nobody will buy if the brand logo is not screaming, I don’t need anyone to know if I have money or not, Im the only one interested, and this people are impressing broke people, thats even worse

@@gustavoc.301 , but you don’t get Hermes name on it. Virtually, anyone could pay 70 pounds for a belt, but a rare person could afford belt for 2800. Hermes belt is exclusive and yours is not. @NaVirazhah26 күн бұрын
@@gustavoc.301 , justification of the price is simply a readiness of the customer to pay. Chanel increased the price for its bags about 4 times since 2022 and people still continue to to buy them. The Birkin situation both is and isn´t a company policy. The shop earns zero % commission on the Birkin, while the direct earnings are 3, 6, and 9, % on the other bags. The shop therefore uses the "exclusivity" as a way of only awarding high spenders with the possibility of getting to buy a Birkin. There´s no shortage of bags at all, if there was then all the celebrities wouldn´t be able to just stumble into a store to buy one.

I have always taught my children to look for quality, not label. I have seen them doing the same it’s their children. When you teach people what things to look for that will matter to the longevity of them being able to enjoy the product, you create some shoppers with critical thinking skills. By practicing this philosophy, I have NEVER spent thousands of dollars on a bag; I know where to buy quality that will last me decades and keep looking good. By shopping for quality as your number one target, you end up with a smaller wardrobe, but one that you don’t need to replace every year. 😍

I think there's nothing wrong in buying a luxury item to mark a "milestone" in life. For example, let's say you reach 12k USD / mo in income, spending 8 years in your career and you purchase a 10k USD Rolex as a reward. So the main issue is that it's people who can't actually afford it, save for months just to buy the item. This is a classic example of how instant gratification ruins people's lives
@lamentate0712 сағат бұрын
If they are saving for months or years, that is hardly 'instant gratification'. It is even worse because they are prepared to make sacrifices a highly questionable end goal. The main issue is people not living according to their means, mostly because a modest life is perceived as unambitious and/or a sign of failure.

The ones I bought before were so expensive that I didn't dare to use them because I was worried about scratching them; but you don't have to worry about the replicas because the mamacoo itself doesn't cost that much hahaha
