Is nobody talking about how STRONG and fine Ian McKellen’s hair look before putting on the helmet? Honestly I expected him wearing it above a hair net or sth like many other movies do. The fact that he wears it right on top of his hair just like in the comics makes him PERFECT

Ian McKellen made Magneto look like US Representative Ron Paul in a caped Dr. Evil cosplay. Singer & Hayter were thinking "Let's cast any random British old guy with Oscar-worthy acting chops!" Imagine a beardless version of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Zeus but wearing red armor, that's how a live-action Magneto should look.
