My wife and I have had several cats over the years and we managed to get a male Maine Coon cross from the SPCA. He was pretty shy and it was suspected he had not been treated well. He is no a VERY happy kitty and we do our best to spoil him. He is VERY smart and has his own language for us. He KNOWS how to get what he wants from us in such a gentlemanly way. We live in an old house and have always had a mouse problem. That has pretty much gone away now and when nothing is available in the house he hunts the backyard never leaving it. He is a house cat but likes to go outside. Comes in to pee or eat and does not like to be outside at night. He has successfully hunted in our basement in the dark. He does not miss much even in the dark. He is such a handsome adorable cat. He gets as much attention as he can handle and is regularly groomed. Such a happy boy.
