I see a crime committed here in that this man's skill his work his talent patience art has at this time only 91 likes n so many views, if I could give him a million I would. Damn, this seat is a true work of art. And it is definitely for select buyers who know what their bike is worth, not for cheapskates who want cheap and uncomfortable factory seats. Congratulations on such an excellent job

Hey! That's amazing eork! Can i ask what kind of finish coat you would use on veg tan leather seat like that? Resolene or some other waterproof top coat, or something like tan cote that can be treated with conditioner after a while?

Of course, this vegetable leather, or as we know it here, tannin-tanned leather, like soleta, is the most natural leather available for this type of work. We always treat this with body moisturizer, or as I prefer, corn oil and lard. This leather absorbs moisture well and leaves the piece waterproof. the other way out is a solvent with varnish. However, I prefer the natural one.
