As there are a bunch that I missed a part two is being considered.
Q: Why the number 39 is significant to Project Diva?
A: In short, the way you say 39 in Japanese is pronounced 'Miku'.
However, 39 can also be said as 'san kyu', with 'San' being 3 and 'kyu' being 9 in Japanese. The phrase 'san kyu' also sounds like the English phrase - 'Thank You'.
When looking at the Japanese Kanji for the word/name 'Miku', you start to see some similarities.
For example:
This Kanji says the name Miku: ミク
Most would recognise this name as seen like this '初音ミク' literally translating to Hatsune Miku.
The Japanese translation of the number 3 looks like this: 三 literally translated as 'san' (please refrain from any Sans jokes)
So, if we take the ミ (Mi) from ミク(Miku)
and if we take 三 (san)
both Kanji characters look very similar, written with three horizontal lines.
