My Family can never get out of the hotel rooms before 10AM. We are planning our 1st trip ever to Universal, staying inside the Park, but will definitely miss out on the early Park entry.

My daughters (12,16,16) have been to many Theme Parks outside in Europe and Asia. We moved to FL in 2022, went to Disney, and my kids hated it. Hoping that Universal goes better. Planning for January. What they hated the most was the people. The crowd in a US park is definitely different from a crowd in Europe or Japan.

Mike, how much spending money would you suggest to budget for a 7 night trip. I was thinking 150 a day, per person. Does that sound reasonable? I already have tickets, flights, hotel paid for. It's me and my 10 year old daughter.

Yes, that’s 100% more than reasonable! It would really all come down to which restaurants you grabbed your meals at. But even at $30 per meal each day that would still leave you with $60 per person for drinks/snacks etc. & you can also save by buying the Universal Freestyle cups at the beginning of your trip or a refillable pop corn bucket & some grab and go breakfast options. That would still leave you with room for some fun merchandise as well like a Harry Potter wand etc. The other small things might be parking which is $15 at on-site hotels and $27 at the parks and ponchos, sun glasses etc but you can bring most of that from home. just planned a trip. I have a promotional ticket for all three parks (unlimited). We are staying on site at Portafino Bay. We got the express passes. Is 4 days enough for everything? We also got the wizard package.

Planning to visit Universal Orlando during Christmas break … how is the weather? Will I be able to visit and do Volcano bay as it will be a bit cooler?

Volcano Bay closes on select days in the winter so you would have to check the calendar before your visit. Temperature in December is typically 50s-70s daily.

The parks will be moderately crowded but overall I think you won’t have a problem getting on absolutely everything especially with the express passes! You’re just beating the Halloween and early Christmas rush 👍🏻
