Progressive jackpot slots have a higher volatility, and therefore are more of a losing game than lower progressive or non-progressive slots.

@@InsidetheCasino yes they have more volatility and you lose more sessions, but the higher the jackpot, the better your odds in the long run. The jackpot increases slowly as the machine is played. Once it hits, then the jackpot is reset to the lowest amount again. If the jackpot gets high enough, you actually could be playing a positive EV game. It works like the lottery.

That is 100% false. The jackpot can go off at ANY time. The bigger it is, does not give better odds. The odds of hitting it are exactly the same. The ONLY progressives that have better odds the higher they get, are the ones that have a "must pay by" jackpot. Those are the ones you want to find. The closer they are to the "must pay" level, the better chance you have of winning them. Slots are NOTHING like the lottery.
