PSA: Don't dry fire a bow (let the string go when there's no arrow in it) cause the force that would normally send the arrow flying can instead damage the bow, even to the point of it breaking. If you do draw it with nothing in it, gently move the string back to rest instead of releasing.

1:26 When Derek asks "is there a way (a ping pongball could go through a window)", the answer is a resounding YES. Way back in the mid 2010s the gents at Mythbusters built a rig that could fire a ping pong ball in excess of the speed of sound (~760mph/1225kph). That would definitely break some glass. Comtest: Cococnut's mass is 650 grams

When things were at their very worst: 2 Suns, Cross in the sky, 2 comets will collide = don`t be afraid - repent, accept Lord`s Hand of Mercy. Scientists will say it was a global illusion. Beware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. I feel like even with a proper arrowhead like those used in hunting and maybe even a more powerful bow the outcome may not have been different, head may have still sheered off after a few panes as I suspect arrows are not really designed for going through multiple layers of hard object and glass is harder than one thinks

Looking at the replay, it looks like the arrow massively slowed down when the fins on the back caught the first pane. It might not be that it’s “safe” behind three panes but rather that it’s “safe” past about how long the arrow is. You should consider testing it with putting the panes closer together/further apart and see if that holds true.
@Crystantemum
@Crystantemum 2 жыл бұрын
Good point and to go along with it the arrowhead was rounded and is made for practice. If they used a more traditional arrowhead-shaped tip it would create a bigger entry point which would make what you brought up less of a problem. It would have better piercing power to go further in general as well
@Moola868
@Moola868 2 жыл бұрын
It looks like the tip broke off after the second pane, and it then hit the third pane at the same time the fins hit the first one, so it was probably a combination of the two. It just killed it's momentum from both ends.

@Luscinia_Nightengale
@Luscinia_Nightengale 2 жыл бұрын
A very astute point, though I feel the need to draw attention to the fact that, while you're correct in that dry-firing a bow is extremely dangerous, even then, you might be overreacting just a tad. A well-made, well-maintained (or newly acquired) bow most-likely won't break from a single incident of dry-firing (thankfully for the HR crew), though it should still be avoided wherever possible, and a poorly-made, poorly maintained (or very old) bow may break without ever being dry-fired, though you'd likely notice it's impending doom if you were to inspect it properly. Bows are manufactured with a degree of safety in regards to that, as, rare as it may be, incidents can occur where an arrow might "un-nock" itself and fall prior to release, given that we as humans are ultimately fallible creatures and make mistakes.

Water is the ashes of a hydrogen fire. The hydrogen has already been burned. Yes you can get the hydrogen back out (like you can theoretically recombine all the atoms of car exhaust to make gasoline), but it takes a lot more energy that you get back.

14:53 Well, the water ballon got "one". That "one" just happened to be Gaunson! LOL Also guys, I think that you should try to get a couple of Australian Olympians (specifically an archer and a discus thrower) to see if they could do better than you did with those items.

I was shooting at a squirrel on top of my garbage can. The arrow deflected off the can, bounced off of the black top, went through my neighbors window and hit the cabinet 2 inches in front of his face

Ideia for video: Dump some gallons of gasoline in a big swimming pool (just enough to make a 1mm floating layer) and then lit It with a flaming arrow (just like the torch of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics). The noise and flame will be awesome, and the thin layer of gasoline will burn fast, causing no damage to the pool.

Would of loved to have seen a reverse of the lego throw, all the pieces going back together. So satisfying. Also love the creativity you guys have to do these videos. My son wanted me to tell you "how good!" Also we guess the weight to be 644g!

The problem with the arrow through glass is you didn't allow enough room for the arrow to reach its maximum velocity since the firing point and the first pane distance is much too short, which greatly reduces its forward inertia.
