Then another 11 days out in 19/20 with knee problems. 20/21, he was out 4 days with another knee problem. Out for 28 more days in the same 20/21 season with a torn muscle fibre. Then was out 4 days again after that with a muscle problem. Out 18 days this season with a muscle problem, then out for another 35 days with a hip flexor issue. Then missed another 43 days with muscular problems. And then another 5 days with an unreported injury. My goodness, this is very concerning. To double down on the concern, he will now be playing in the PL.

I think the midfield and wing positions are more complicated for Pep teams than central attacking or central defending roles. While Aguero took time due to resisting changing his game, during that transition period he still put up his usual tally of goals across the season. Jesus came in and instantly made an impact and looked electric. At the back, Laporte and Dias both came in and instantly began dominating in the City backline. I think Haaland will definitely take time to adapt to reach his full contribution to the team. Just like Aguero. But like Aguero, the goal scoring aspect of Haaland's game is instinctual and he will put up goals right away as long as he's on the pitch and given chances to score. It's just the link up play, ball retention, pressing, etc. that may not meet Pep's standards in the first season - those are things Haaland will need to train in and develop his skills in as much as possible.

I'd be shocked if he ever scores 30. Aguero never scored 30. They don't play like Dortmund with a focal point.

I think Haaland will easily reach 30 across all competitions at some point in his City career. Might not be his first season, but I think he'd definitely reach that number.
