Maaaaan, this is incredible! Probably one of the best challenge run videos I've seen in a while even! The amount of insane strategies on display I haven't seen anywhere else is mind-boggling, backed up by solid commentary! Seriously, fantastic work! Really hope this video takes off, you've earned it!

Speaking as someone who was there through the making of this video, it’s still mind boggling that you managed to cut down ALL the garden of hope throws You and everyone in the pikmin community are bonkers for figuring this stuff out.

Awesome job on the challenge. The juicy gaggle was stupid in a challenge run I did as well. I wasn’t allowed to use yellows at the time so I couldn’t access the scale, and I didn’t know about the places to throw up captains. I ended up using the destructible wall to get up by throwing a captain on it after using 2 bomb rocks.

I really like how you didn't just show the best solution but showed the process of how you lowered the amount of throws Also I typically watch videos this long in multiple sessions but this was so engaging I did it in one go Amazing video !

I’m pretty sure there were a couple changes made to the winged pikmin’s pathfinding in 3 Deluxue, mainly with the Garden of Hope’s astringent clump to avoid the charging trick used in the WiiU version. Don’t take my word on it though.

pikmin challenge runs are always fascinating

it just occurred to me that candypop buds appear in the special version of the tundra on day 1. most other stuff is gone, but the candypop buds exist. Maybe that works in the tropical area as well? it could theoretically be possible to obtain a rock pikmin on day 1 that way without fighting the slurker, although I'm not sure it would be possible to take it into the garden of hope

I am shocked this has so few views, especially with the recent boom in Pikmin viewership. Awesome video that is extremely high quality, here's to the wackiness of Pikmin 4!

One time I Cheesed the concrete wall with the pear by using a Yellow Pikmin, but I couldn’t get the pikmin out of that area and it was almost the end of the day so I panicked and I thought of a decent strategy of whistling the second the bell hits zero and sends me away and I tried it and it worked and I got all the pikmin out of there and the next day the pear was on the outside, so that was fun

I have successfully created a method for creating a crush-zombie pikmin that can be carried between loading zones without any throws and using only two red pikmin. so now the only struggle is to find a way to reach either the scutterchucks or the yellow wollywogs with only a single team member and red Pikmin. There's an easy way to get out of bounds on the left side of the hill after the big bulborb area, but I've not had any luck breaking the actual boundaries of the level yet. Also worth noting is that enemies can push captains up walls they cant normally climb, the easiest way to see this is to get the female sheargrubs on day 1 to push alph into the walls near the pellet posies. I've been trying to manipulate the large bulborb in garden of hope into pushing alph up onto a nearby ledge, because that might help with out of bounds quite a lot.

For the last fruit, I used what you did as a tutorial to get the fruit and got it

doing cutscenes after you normally should is wonderful. Try turning on the light in the yellow pikmin cave after doing yellow onion skip and defeating the phosbat.

It’s been a while since I played 3, but can you get spicy spray before the first slurker to shred it faster/with less throws?

Don’t ask me why, but I’ve watched this video twice and it took me too long the second time to realize it.

Could it be possible to skip the Brittany throw tutorial by having the day end at the exact perfect time? After looking closely at a video of the whole encounter, it seems like there's exactly 1 frame where the wall's broken and the cutscene that leads up to the tutorial hasn't started yet. The clock appears to still be running, too, so if the day ended on that one frame, maybe the tutorial could be skipped, or at least you could do it with zero pikmin?

I don't know what a pikmin is, but I like fruit, so I'll give you a like.

I wonder if it would somehow be possible to get your hands on a spicy spray by getting out of bounds with a Pikmin on day 1? That could potentially reduce the number of slurker throws. I tried using the day 1 Charlie glitch in order to get multiple captains in the tropical area on day 1, but unfortunately that loads a different version of the map without the "master onion" present despite still being day 1. I'm also currently working on getting up to the scutterchuck area in the garden of hope in order to make a crush-zombie pikmin to fight the slurker, will let you know if I've figured anything out

Pikmin 3 challenge mode minimum throws -Collect Treasures- Tropical Forest - 3 for Medusal Slurker, 5 for Face Wrinkler, total 8 throws Tropical Forest DX - 2 for Medusal Slurker, 5 for Face Wrinkler, total 7 throws Silver Lake - 1 throw to get a captain to yellows, total 1 throw Silver Lake DX - 1 throw to get a captain to yellows, total 1 throw -Battle Enemies- Tropical Forest - 1 for each Swooping Snitchbug (inconsistent af), 5 for the ungrounded Spectralids, total 7 throws Tropical Forest DX - 1 for each Swooping Snitchbug (inconsistent af), 5 for the ungrounded Spectralids, total 7 throws

In the Garden of Hope you might have been able to disband the Red Pikmin by a Pellet Sprout and spawn about two new Pikmin, and let them sit for a little while to turn into Flowers, dealing more damage with fewer throws.

For the blond impostor could it be possible to chain bomb rocks together? If the arachnode can detonate bombs you could chain bomb rocks in a row to blow up the crystal

I did the juicy gaggle glitch on accident by throwing them in the hole and I went in they fell from the sky and not the main exit it has a wrong warp scenario and sends them through the top and not the side

If you've already taken down the swooping snitchbug in distant tundra, you can just walk up the wall next to the cave Brittany comes out of, in a similar manner to the example in the boss fight.

Technically if you have winged pikmin if rushes don’t count then you can almost get every fruit !

One time when I was trying 100% pikmin 4 I was transporting a toy train and a magnifying glass (underground) and I forget to open the gate to the SS Beagle and the magnifying glass CLIPPED UNDER THE BRIDGE I lost some pikmin and I had to wait 3 days to get it :(
