What goes into the process of how marbles are made with specific hand applications ?
Join us as glass artisian Jim Storsberg demonstrates the fine art of glass detail work on machine-made marbles.
Jim describes and shows us the craft of stringer work, frit / confetti work and other related applications containing aventurine, lutz and goldstone that we find in some if our favorite collectable marbles.
We also look into the history of how these applications took hold and show similar examples of Christensen Agate, Vitro Agate, Vacor De Mexico, Jabo and New London Glassworks marbles.
On-factory footage in this video was filmed at the “Appalachian Sunrise” marbles run on May 4th 2022 at the D.A.S. Factory .

My collections is growing with marbles given to me by wonderful folks like Christine Tailer and marbles I bought at antique stores. My dad's sisters husband bought me a beautiful 2-1/2 German hand made Latticinio core swirl

Perty cool process. Some awesome marbles there producing. I went to an estate auction over the weekend. Scored a couple jars with really wide variety from Germans to jabos. Majority are vintage. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Stephen . which one of your videos has the " Winnie " marble shown in it ? it looked yellow and blue tones . I had your playlist playing all night last night and woke up and rolled over and saw a marble called the " Winnie " marble . But I closed my eyes and fell back asleep .

Hi Willstar , thanks for the all-nighter ! That is awesome! I show several of the Winnie in the European Marbles video and I think one in the middle of the Nola Morgan video . They are super hard to find in the USA , but if you are in Europe you’ve got a decent chance of finding some. 🔵🟡

Almost all of these can be found online on EBay or “Sully’s Jabos” including many more experimental runs from DAS and Jabo through the years. Terrific marbles!

How does a person get involved in one of these investment runs? $$$ and? Just absolutely fascinating stuff. I made a career out of fixing industrial equipment and building automated robotics. I have done a little bit of everything in industrial production. However I have never produced a marble. Thanks for the post. I love hearing those marbles hit the rollers ❤ Wow just WoW
