Robert Pattinson's batsuit in "The Batman" (2022) was the most practical version yet of the iconic hero's batsuit. And it was possible in part due to technological advancements in the past 80 years that have transformed superhero costumes in movies and TV shows. Marvel and DC movies like "Iron Man" (2008) and "Man of Steel" (2013) have consistently utilized the latest technology to make costumes more real than ever. 3D printing, CGI, and motion-capture technology all helped create costumes with greater detail and practicality to craft the realistic superhuman figures we see on-screen.
"The Batman" is available to own on digital download from May 23, 2022, and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD from June 13, 2022.

@@joeybaseball7352 Disliked the version from Man of Steel for that very reason. Also some of the materials (such as round the back towards the torso) appeared too heavy handed, the 'S' looked more magenta than red. The revised version in BvS was much needed, fixing all these issues (perhaps both Snyder and costume designer Michael Wilkinson realised this, hence the modifications). The version from Justice League went to far making the undersuit shiny. Very off-putting imo!

I love the change up for Wonder Woman's costume from the leotard to gladiator armor. Lynda Carter was timelessly beautiful in the TV series, but Gal Gadot combined beauty and badassery as the Amazon princess.
@hindsightpov4218

I’m glad with Gadot’s Wonder Woman armor that they FINALLY made the red sections as solid and durable as the gold and silver sections. In the past, only the metal colored sections gave her any real protection. It’s implied that the red parts of her bodice and footwear are made of leather as it did bend with her movements but it didn’t give her much protection. She has been stabbed and shot through it so I wouldn’t have even called it armor back then. I’m also glad they made her footwear have knee and shin guards which came in handy in the Wonder Woman movie. When she was fighting the German soldiers, they shot at her lower legs and sparks flew from them, which momentarily stunned her but she was unharmed. They showed it in the Wonder Woman teaser trailer.

That’s easy to explain away since Reed Richards is a genius. But I’m glad they came up with an explanation. These days with comics, they have to be more stringent explaining how things work when in previous decades they didn’t have to. I personally like it. It makes it more plausible and feels more real. The explanations comic writers came up with are rather clever.

My sister did this Superman script as an exercise and she came up with the PERFECT REASON to wear a cape: in the modern age, where everyone has a cellphone and there's security cameras everywhere, a cape helps blur the image while Superman does his thing, so nobody can get a good shot of him. I mean come on, that's pretty dang good. She's 11, and I'm telling you, future Oscar winner.

@@aryadhole Here's why you don't: in a world that has had costumed heroes before, they wore masks, and thus people try to figure out who they are, like that nut in Gotham City. Superman wears no mask. Even with the theatrics and the fast moving, it's assumed he just has no secret identity. That he is always Superman.

A little silly side trivia, but my cousin was one of Andrew Garfield’s stunt doubles for the two Amazing Spider-Man movies. He said they were comfortable as they were both made of spandex. The only difference was in the first movie it was a one piece and the second one was a two piece. I cannot tell you how jealous I was when he told us this and showed us photos on his phone of him in the Spider-Man costumes.

Well Andrew Garfield Spiderman suit is probably the second best superhero suit of all time It's was too perfect with having the comic book look and be realistic, it didn't look over designed like the MCU spider suits and neither under designed to look just janky, not to mention the loose fitting and amazing cgi work However I still prefer to call the Dark Knight suit as the best one of all time, it's something that would actually work as a street level person's suit and is incorporated with just perfect realism

Hey Insider for a future video on movie making, an idea 💡 I have is on actors hair because since I was 14 years old, I have always been curious to how actors hair always stays the same length and size all throughout the long months of filming. I know the on set hair stylists are cutting the hair with their hair cutting tools 💇‍♀️. But how? Because when I get a haircut, when my dad, brothers, friends, teachers and my nephews all get a haircut too, our hair is a lot shorter because dur that’s how haircuts work, but the actors are getting these haircuts where their hair does not look shorter! Their hair looks the same before. I would love to know how those haircuts are achieved

Out of all the live-action Spider-Man movies we gotten, to me Tobey Maguire wore the best Spider-Man movie costumes. Christopher Reeves wore the best Superman movie costumes because as great as Henry Cavill costume is without the outside underwear, Snyder tanked it with dark colors and with the cape being CG in a lot of scenes
@hindsightpov4218
@hindsightpov4218 2 жыл бұрын
I mostly agree. But I can’t blame Snyder for the CGI cape when Superman played by Cavill was in outer space. If it looked like Cavill’s Superman cape was moving in outer space like it was in the wind, it wouldn’t have been tolerated by today’s standards. You could tell it was done by CGI. How else would they have gotten that effect? But imho, it was more successful than not.
@TheWarchiefZekeJaeger

Superman's cape is almost symbiotic with Cavill version mostly because of his gravitional force field. It shouldn't move like it's exposed to wind, but rather a force moving it around.

So far, the best comic book suit I have seen in live action has to be Daredevil. The Netflix black suit is like seeing literally the character on the screen, which ever it is. The clothes seem like regular clothing you'd see anywhere, which makes it believable for anyone to have it, but also everything else is perfect. The design, the fabrics, the texture, everything. It perfectly allows the actor to move, to go on any weather, to feel comfortable, and on top of all that, it looks amazing. It gives the sense of cool, realistic and scary all at the same time. Not to mention it actually allows you to see the actors muscles, perfectly comic accurate. You want the best comic book suit ever? Take hints from that one.

Nitpick, but it always drives me crazy when people use photos and video of Robocop 3 when they are specifically talking about Robocop 1. The suits were completely different. The suit for the first movie was horrible to act in. Very inflexible and hard to put on. They literally screwed the suit together over Peter Weller. It was redesigned from the ground up for Robocop 2. It was streamlined, lighter, and snapped together, making the costume process much quicker. The suit from 2 was reused in 3, but unfortunately for Robert John Burke, it wasn't fitted to him. He was shorter than Peter Weller, so he just had to tough it out in a suit made for someone else.

Weather you believe Robert Pattinson is the best actor to play Batman; that’s he better than Michael Keaton & Christian Bale. That’s your right to choose, but what is a fact, is that all the previous actors (not counting Ben Affleck) to play Batman had to endure some harsh and difficult things with the costume on. Things Pattinson will never experience thus he had a easy experience playing Batman. Not 100% easy, but far less severe than what Keaton, Clooney & Bale had to go through

Pattinson said wearing the Batman suit was difficult. He doesn’t strike me as a whiner, so I believe him. He had to do a lot in his suit. So considering the advancements with the Batman suit by his time, more was expected of him and he delivered. But I do agree. I think so far, Pattinson is the best Batman we’ve seen in theaters. Better than Keaton and better than Bale (who I think over did it with his performance). Affleck was a lot better than I think he gets credit for.

The time suits should have be real suits. Using CGI is cheating.

Naah Affleck suit was goofy and dull. The suit lacks the creativity and had no purpose in storytelling and the turtle neck that was soo bad.

@@filmgoblin5016 yeah comic accurate suit which was goofy with no neck at all in live action. The guy looks like a walking thumb or he has some kind of disease in the body. And it has nothing to offer in storytelling just took it from the comic so the lazy director may thought people will call it the comic accurate. The result was goofy comic accurate Frank Miller's batsuit is for Hulk like batman isn't gonna work in live action. And that is what happened to batfleck. Becomes one of the worst looking suit and the iteration.

How to Play the Game of Life Why do children wake up with their eyes wide open and jump out of bed while we open them just wide enough to see the phone so we can set it to snooze? Why are young people energetic and ready to “conquer the world” while older people are cautious and hesitant? Can we stay young-spirited forever? After all, if life is not a game, there is no excitement in it. And if there is no excitement in life, what is the point of living? If we want to keep enjoying, we need to make life a lifelong game. This game is very different from anything we know. It is not about what we can receive, but about what we can discover! By connecting to other people, we discover new worlds, other people’s worlds! How do we achieve this? Quite simply, we need to focus on others rather than on ourselves. This may sound simple, but if you try it, you will realize how self-absorbed you are. We are all like that. Even those who feel that they are generous and giving are absorbed in their giving and do not see how much they do it for their own interest, and how they are focused on their own benefit when they give. Giving is fine, but the focus is the point here. Had the focus been on the receiver, the giver would have discovered countless revelations that are hidden from a self-centered eye. For the game to succeed, you need partners. It is impossible to play the game of giving without people to whom you can give and from whom you can receive. Therefore, there must be a group of people, up to ten or so, who play the game together. In order to succeed in discovering the other players’ worlds, we need to think good thoughts about them. Otherwise, we will have no incentive to approach them, no desire to discover their world. We can think good thoughts about each other if we do good things for one another. These can be the simplest things, but they must make us feel good about each other. Positive thoughts about each other bring us closer, and closeness opens our minds and hearts to others, so we can see the world through their eyes. As with any game, the more we practice, the better we get, and the harder, yet more rewarding the game becomes. But unlike any other game, as we improve in it, we will find that our entire perspective on life changes and expands, and we become wiser and more competent. The game of life, unlike any other game, reveals to us the secrets of life, the secrets of reality, because when you can look at something from all angles, nothing remains hidden from you.
