CG this, CG that, it really amazes me how well CGI has gone nowadays. You know it's great CG when you don't "notice" it. I wouldn't be suprised if Marvel made a movie where everything is literally CG--borderline being called an "animated movie" at that point. LOL

What still blows my mind is that the plane fight scene in Civil War was CGI and not filmed on a real Airport. Just some actors in suits and a green screen. It looked so hyper realistic.

I really hope there's a special team at marvel that deals specifically with the way superheroes fly, and constantly trying to improve it. Wasp looked absolutely fantastic flying. I'm a bit worried about captain marvel after that bus flip in the trailer, it looked really cheesy. I hope she flies flawlessly as in the comics, like she's one with the air

VFX was great for throughout. The fluid effects towards the end when Antman was huge was... looking CG. Again most people won't know.

The effects were great overall but some of the de-aging still doesn't feel right, 2:54 just looks weird to me (way too smooth, it's almost like the face is motion blurred but the rest of his body isn't)

ant man is the most Marvel movie an MCU movie can be...the wasp is so badass she basically overpowers everyone ..and I love it.

One of my biggest problems with the Ant Man movies is that its own internal logic seems so inconsistent, even just by watching this. When Ant Man is big, he has to use more energy and gets tired out faster. That makes sense. But the lab is powered by upscaled AA batteries? So does that mean there is more battery acid etc. inside, not just enlarging the atoms or particles that make it up? To produce more energy, enlarging the batteries would have to create more battery acid, and more matter. But when people get shrunken to the quantum level, they retain all of their exact physical details, despite being smaller than a lot of particles. (So they are made up of the same number/amount of particles, just shrunken.) And when the car shrinks, how does it keep up with the bigger car? If the car shrinks to 1/50th of its usual size, and scaling batteries up makes more battery acid, downscaling the car would mean it had less gasoline... meanwhile the smaller wheels would have to complete 50x more rotations to go the same distance as one regular-sized tire rotation. So the small car's wheels would have to spin MUCH faster than they were before. Not to mention the loss of friction/traction because of the smaller surface area of the tires contacting the road and such... I don't need these movies to be realistic, just consistent. Otherwise I can't figure out the rules.

My biggest issue with Ant-Man is if he gets relatively stronger as he shrinks, he should get relatively weaker as he grows. This doesn't happen though. He gets much stronger when he's Giant-Man. Seems like an oversight to me.

Ant-man and the wasp was a pretty good film. However one thing I have a problem with is that they treated Scott Lang’s character a bit dumber compared to the first movie where he’s an expert thief to where he barely knows nothing at all.

Visual effects is so under appreciated it’s sad.
