Ahh because no one is pointing it out to you, here I will: yes Europeans or USA doesn't have any grounds to be anti-immigrant while others do. Simply because of the history which is not more than 50 years old. It was the European countries which colonized and taxed the colonies, and after independence have done little to no efforts in reparation, and wealth distribution for these countries. They are unstable and poverty ridden to this day largely because of colonialism, while most of EU stayed rich from the exploits of it. EU created this power dynamics not the rest of the countries. The ex-colonies just want to survive in this harsh environment where they are recognized as countries less than 50-100 years ago. Without reparations, it is commendable how far these nations have come, but also note that most of the reason for people seeking refuge is also due to conflicts created by EU and US in those countries. Stop pretending that these countries have nothing to do with the crisis going on in Palestine, Sudan, Etc. Stop demanding equal solution when the ground isn't set equal by EU.

When people immigrate to America, they are showing that they choose this country, and by honoring our laws, learning our language, and familiarizing themselves with her history, they show that they respect our way of life, something that is further reinforced by a system that limits the number of legal immigrants to those whom we can successfully absorb at one given time without running the risk that our society is radically altered by a huge influx from one particular region being made at one given time. Whether a society is diverse or homogeneous, children strengthen that society, and give hope for the future, and when they are raised in western values, you ensure that our way of life will not only be protected, but our traditions are values, and our way of life will carry on into the future. That you don't understand why it is better for any society to raise. A next generation speaks to your biases, and your obvious desire to radically alter this country. That many of us will never go along with that is your problem not mine.

I jumped to a conclusion I shouldn't have made, I'll concede as much. I actually agree with you, legal immigration should be the only way into a country and the ramifications of said immigration should be carefully examined. Our planet is at about its limit resource wise though so unless other avenues for resources open up I'd rather humans reproduce close to replacement so as to avoid the pitfalls of both unchecked growth and demographic collapse.
