Hot flashes literally feels like your body is catching on fire!!! I've literally pulled ALL of my clothes off at some point just to cool off. It's a horrible feeling, and it makes you feel sick until it passes. First years of our life we have to deal with periods, the second half we have to deal with menopause. We can't catch a break!!!

Okay Uncle Chance and Auntie Tab! This is what y'all need! 1. Bed that allows a change in temp for each side and doesn't move the other side when the other person gets up. 2. Maybe heated bathroom floor. 3. Uncle Chance you need a floor heater or suh'n ! 4. Auntie Tab! You need a cooling pad that you can sleep on I loved this episode. I am cracking up.

I been dealing with menopause since 43 I will be 54 at the end of this month. I been dealing with these hot flashes, mind fog, joint pain, weight gain, I can’t sleep good, no depression or vagina dryness. I would have to say the hot flashes are the worst. I’m glad that I live alone so I can have it as cold as I need it to be. My kids and friends come visit I let them know they have two choices 1. Grab a blanket 2. Leave and go back home. Sorry not sorry! Im praying for us all. 🙏🏼😊I leave my air on 60 year around

Please find a menopause specialist in your area. I'm 55 started menopause at 53, I've been able to get the hot flashes gone, and sometimes I'll have night sweats based on what I ate or drunk throughout the day. Hrt, is something you should research, its not what most people think. Get your testrogene levels check. Our bodies need a balance in estrogen. Our brain, muscles, and heart function too. Please do not suffer. Also, DIM, and estrogen cream, is my save and grace!!

You never know how close to menopause. Women are going to memepause as early as their 30s and you shouldn't start menopause till 60. The longer you have a period the healthier you are. Essence Magazine ran an article on Black women in their 80s and 90s the thing they had in common was having periods longer.

I started having hot flashes when I turned 50 years old. I used to keep our bedroom cold as well at night but then I wanted to compromise with my husband and I purchased a small fan that I keep on my nightstand that blows on me every night that keeps me cool. My parents slept in different rooms. My mom and dad used to say it was the best decision they ever made. They were married for more than 50 years before they passed away.

I'm a senior who has gone through menopause, and trust me, most senior couples that I have ever known, slept in separate rooms. I'm pretty sure that the wife's menopausal symptoms were one of the reasons why. Another possible reason I've found, is because of a spouse who snores. Usually it would be the husband Sleeping in separate rooms was simply more logical, because it allowed each spouse to get a good, comfortable, and restful night's sleep.

Well, Chance, you may not know it, but I'm 49, and men do go through menopause. We also have hot flashes, cranky, emotional, forgetful, confusing sex drive, and not to mention not being able to be completely empty your blatter. Men aren't allowed to feel anything, so we play strong and keep our emotions and body changes to ourselves. We have to talk and see a doctor you can trust. A doctor who listens and is more holistic than a pill pusher.

I so loved this episode, even reached my hand out to the screen when you said let's touch and agree.😅 Sadly I started peri-menopause 3 months into my marriage 5 years ago. LAWD we had a time....but now that I have entered menopause, one year now and I'm 54, some of my symptoms are starting to subside. I do sleep with a fan on every night and I have that one foot that has to be out of the covers most nights. My hubby had to make some adjustments to our "hot & bothered" time, but we're coming around the bend. I love that you two could laugh and be serious at the same time. Menopause is no joke and I would encourage men to really research it and get an understanding about the 46+ symptoms we go through when going through menopause. That understanding can help A LOT, when watching your woman transition into the next season/chapter of her life. Blessings!!!

Hot flashes, no energy, low sex drive etc. I started having hot flashes the past few years (I’m 41) and would wake up with my neck wet. It is VERY good to see / hear grown men discussing this. Low testosterone causes men to significantly change in their temperament and physicality. It seems like they want it to be a secret-- yet surely it is not. And no, sexual performance enhancement pills do not resolve the full package of issues brought on by low testosterone. Don't believe the hype.

For some women, in addition to the hot flashes, weight gain, etc, emotions can be out of control. I heard of people having mood swings associated with menopause, but when I got it, I didn't realize it. So changes in emotions and moods could be a side effect of menopause and not a mental illness.

I feelyou Tab. I wake up in a sweat, I can be in a store and comfortable, and all of a sudden, I'm dripping wet. To help with the temperature fluctuations at night, my husband brought me a fan for my nightstand. My daughter also brought me a personal hand-held fan that I take to the stores and church. It has been over 8 years for me.

Tab I started menopause at 38yrs old. What I think will help you is a mattress that has separate heating/cooling on each side. That way you can have it cold on your side and not have the AC running 🤷🏽‍♀️ I feel for Chance. I cannot have the house cold, even with flashing

Physical Changes: Menopause often brings physical changes such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and changes in libido. These changes can affect a woman's comfort level and desire for intimacy, which may impact the physical aspect of a relationship. Mood Swings and Emotional Changes: Hormonal fluctuations during menopause can lead to mood swings, irritability, and increased emotional sensitivity. Partners may need to navigate these changes and find ways to support each other emotionally. Communication Challenges: Menopause may come with symptoms like fatigue and difficulty concentrating, which can impact communication. Partners should be patient and understanding, adapting their communication styles to accommodate these changes.

The hot flashes and period irregularities began for me in my late 30s. It was complicated by the growth of fibroids. In 2019, I had a myomectomy to remove the fibroids and that helped put me into early perimenopause. I went into menopause in 2022 being diagnosed as post-menopausal (meaning over 12 months and a day with no period) in 2023. I still have hot flashes at times. But then there are times it’s just hot period. I can tell the difference. But I’ve had the hot flashes, joint pain, and insomnia since my late 30s. The frequent bathroom trips began in the past couple of years. And it is a pain. 😩🥴

The best Friday with Tab and Chance thus far that I've seen!! I feel you Tab. I'm going to be 61 in 7 days and have hot flashes all day and at night! I wake up with my back soaked, I sleep on my back. I have a tower fan directed at me on high all night and still sweat. I was told menopause never goes away, once your in menopause you are never out of menopause, but symptoms may change. I've had symptoms for over 9 years now and they are not minimizing yet.

There are so many solutions for you Chance. Don't leave Tab in that bed by herself lol, Ya'll keep being yourself together 4 ever, Ya'll are both simply amazing. I would not have much quality of life without the bio-identical hormone creams that, thankfully, got rid of my hot flashes and other symptoms. It's still not a cake walk but it's so so much better now since I started the creams. THANK YOU for talking about this, Tab. We need to normalize talking about this -- every single woman who lives past 40-50+ will go through this. When I was at the stage you're at, Tab, I just got some progesterone cream from a company called Ona's and started on that -- fixed those hot flashes and other symptoms. I only added estriol/estradiol several years later.
