I think it's because William put his remnant and love in the toy to make Michael Happy again and because of those feelings are they feeling connected whenever Michael hugs the plushie

William said it was protected by his soul and created by his remnant. So it could be like a voodoo doll kind of situation? But I'm not quite sure. I think it's maybe to do with the toy being protected by the soul. Then it feels like he's hugging him

Williams remnant is connected to the plush so he himself is connected to it, which means when michael hugs it, it will give the feeling of being hugged, whereas with William since he's connected to the plush now whenever Michael hugs it William himself will feel the hug.❤

2 things 1) Willy did tell lizzy that his soul is in the plush so if Mike hugs it then Willy will probably feel it but I don’t think it’ll work if Willy hugs it as it does have his own soul and he can manipulate remnant but not his own soul 2) Willy having a calm moment alone then in comes even thinking something like ‘hmmmm wonder what wings taste like…….. NOM’ all the while Willy is watching and concerned about Evan’s mental state as Evan noms on his wing

My theory about the hugging thing is since it's made with some of William's remnant and it's protected by Williams soul plus he put his love in it, then when Michael hugs it William will feel it. Now I'm not so sure about Michael feeling it but I'd say since William's soul is connected to the cat toy it's basically just Williams soul hugging Michael plus it has William's love in it so Michael knowing that probably plays a role in it too. (I just kind thought this before I even reached the end of the video and this probably doesn't make sense but it's my theory.) I also made some fnaf theories of my own with things I see from other people's videos that they don't point out. I think one of my brothers have also made 1 or 2 fnaf theories. My sister told me about one of hers and I think it makes enough sense to be a proper theory.

I have a theory about Michael and his attachment to the cat plush. It seems like he may have some separation anxiety, and the toy is a source of comfort for him. However, with people bullying him, his self-confidence has decreased. This could be the reason why he clings onto the toy even more. Additionally, now that the cat has a part of William inside of it, Michael may see it as a way for William to protect him whenever he feels anxious or nervous.
