In this video we meet up with a local West Texan rancher who brings us on his ranch to tell the story of those living near the border. There has big an uptick in migrants crossing his property, and a reduction of Customs and Border Protection in the area. Join me as we dive deeper into this very complex and important issue.

The US purposely restricts the number of visas from Mexico and prolongs the process to force cheap labor over the border without visas so that US corporations profit more by paying them less in wages and no benefits. The government obviously puts the needs of the big corportations over that of the small rancher. Small ranchers be damned.

I love this series. It comes at reality with no political agenda. (and it's not afraid to call out political agenda even when the agenda amounts to silence.) It tells the truth. "There is no simple solution for a complex problem." How true. Personally, I'm a non-Hispanic Spanish speaking physician in the Midwest. My best patients are the hard workers, and a larger proportion of the Hispanics fit that description. Our immigration bureaucracy has a stranglehold. You wouldn't believe what ICE will do to an English-Speaking doctor. Canadian immigration isn't any better. I know first hand.

@@jacksevert3099 The problem is that Republican politicians would never agree to this, and it’s many Republican ranchers who hire illegals in the first place. Republican politicians love to use immigrants as scapegoats every time they find it convenient. American politics is becoming more disgusting every year. WOW, what an eye opening documentary! Brent and his family seem like class acts. This is from a guy all the way in Hawaii. I've got a buddy here who is from West Texas and has taken to Hawaii like a duck to water and adapted to Hawaiian culture respectfully. Jesse and Brent do not see color and more people should be aware that all Texans aren't alike. These guys are class acts; and an honest day's work for an honest day's of wages is all they ask for. Hats off to Hugo and Ramundo. Brent hit it on the head that people are lazy. It's this generation!

Was your favorite part when he begrudged school children free lunches in summertime? That was magnaminous of him (not). God will show mercy on those that show mercy. When you are stingy with the least person ( a child) you are stingy with God/Jesus.

Can you imagine having a boss not backing you up. Can. Worked for a government agency once. Everyone got their turn at being the victim and most of the time the boss went after people for his own entertainment. Twelve years later, that boss is even worse for those who stayed. People willing to sacrifice all their humanity for a retirement.

We have a Ranch pretty close to Uvalde, Tx. During hunting season we get up before the sun rises to head out to blinds to hunt. Now there is so much foot traffic with the people crossing I don’t even feel comfortable being out there alone hunting anymore. And a couple of years ago that wasn’t the case it gets worse and worse every year. Now we’ve even had people break into our blinds to sleep in there. The situation is definitely getting tough out there.
