I grew up in Oz. It was always hard for us to catch the games. Finally I could stream it those last two seasons of Wenger. Loved him. Was very hopeful of unai at the start but when ya seen Aubameyang just get that cash and give up on us it was writing on the wall I thought. Then Arteta and that city game it was enough to make ya cry. But he seemed to have some crazy drive. Plenty of doubters but god knows anyone was gonna need time. Now I'm smiling every week again. What I don't understand is why they're still not getting the credit. All the pundits seem to banging on about everyone else's chances of the title. I don't get it

Stinks Arsenal didn’t win the league but they proved A LOT of people that this Arsenal team is a new and improved club, able and capable winning trophies. And I believe when the next season starts they will be back how they started. I truly believe in Arsenal and I truly believe they can win the league. I hope they bring in a few midfielders and defenders to cover injuries and add depth during the summer.

The scary thing about this team, it has lots of room to grow. The key attackers are so young. Trossard is the first proven experienced player he has bought. This team will become multi dimensional, it will be hard to read for the opposition.

Well he did get Zinchenko and Jesus, both PL title winners, but ye Trossard also brings experience. Interesting to note: Trossard is currently experiencing his best season in the prem, matching last seasons output in half the matches. It will be interesting to see if he will play as regularly as he probably should considering. He might end up becoming a super-sub that carries the Europa-League games.

There was one point when I was Arteta out. It was the start of last season, 3 games, 3 losses, 0 goals scored. It hurt, but I found myself drifting off to numbness. I found myself caring less and less for the club, and that to me was the sackable offense. Arteta and the rest of them could go. Or maybe it was I who should leave. But love for this club is hard to give up. The desire to quit was strong, time can whittle any rock down to nothing. But the passion, the fire, the spark of love for this club also runs deep. All it took was the smallest bit of oxygen called hope to bring the fire back. It didn't happen all at once, but in small doses. A Odegaard free kick and 3 points. Then another. And another. Fueled by young players half my age but with a passion I recognized. The passion I once had as a young boy that grew up with Arsenal before it was fashionable. It was impossible not to rediscover my love for this team, for this storied franchise through the youthful exuberance embodied by the new crop of kids who now played for the badge. They may have started playing for themselves, for their teammates, but in essence they were playing for all of us, and Arteta was keen, and key, to reminding them that. For me, Arteta was no longer out by that point. The results helped but it was the power of youth that saved him and me in my eyes. Because this young squad gave me my oxygen. Hope.

I was initially reserved about bringing in Arteta but that first interview he did, it stuck with me. That connection between the manager, fans and players is EXACTLY what was missing from our team and he knew it. We couldn't identify with the likes of Ozil, Auba, Pepe etc. The way that Arteta cleaned house, not just the playing staff but around the club as well showed you exactly the mentality he was going to bring in. Now? I'm absolutely loving it! The football we're playing, the squad we have, the fans singing week in and week out! Give me MORE!
@NahinP

You forgot to mention that the spending by the board only increased once Kronke had complete ownership of the club. Arteta survived the initial storm of the first two years because Kronke and Edu knew that most players at that time lacked the winning mentality and hunger and the culture in the club had become very laid back in general. Arsenal in their eyes was a rich mid table club where you got a high pay for achieving noting. If the club had any hope to succeed they needed to remove the bad apples first. Once the bad apples were gone, they invested heavily to give Mikel the players he wanted to play the way he wanted to play. And it's reaping benefits now.

Even when they finished 8th, I still believed it was too early to sack Arteta. He had to work with players that we knew were complacent, overpaid and unwilling to fight for the club. It would have been far too early to judge him without giving him the chance to rebuild the team and have them play the way HE wanted. It was a question of having to take one step back to move two steps forward.

I think twitter was the only one calling for Arteta to leave. I don't remember seeing banners in the stadium asking for him to leave, if anything they were asking for Kroenkes to either back him or leave. Even last season after we lost the first three games, most fans were not panicking, we had a squad hit by covid, and we had to play with some of the same players that were shit or that were obviously not ready and had barely trained with the club. Everyone knew the real season started after the international break. I guess it's good for us fans to keep perspective and maybe not spend so much time on twitter as it's not a real place.

Only AFTV and their hooligans want Artera out. Most Arsenal fans see the progress under Arteta, Edu and Vinai.

Lol, you weren't there if you believe that. From Ozil to Auba, to Saliba to Martinelli, and most recently with Nketiah, and who could forget Xhaka? This administration has had to make some big decisions that a lot of people weren't on board with. For example, people still believe Ozil was let go because of that whole China fiasco, I distinctly remember them almost wishing that Odeegard would fail because of it. Now we have a midfield captain who does the pressing and defensive duties so many of our supporters said an attacking mid shouldn't do... I'm not going to pretend that Arteta was my first choice to replace Emery, but I did hope he'd succeed because it meant Arsenal would. I never understood how people who claimed to be fans could be so desperate to see a man fail once he was given the job.

The first time Arsenal gave a bit more time after reaching bottom performance to a new manager it somehow worked out.Maybe just letting managers do their work and building the team is enough. Emery was sacked too early but luckily Arteta wasnt.

i wasnt really arterta our, nor unai out but i was definitely arsene wenger out lmao xD i cant help but feel fustrated with our build up play especially with aub up top whom was a passenger with no pressing and laca for everytime a big defender comes close to him he falls. our build up play sensationally improved this season which is what i am happy about :) and the results will follow. I think maybe i wasnt arterta out its cuz he was a former player i dunno :\

Still r8 Emery an was sad t c him leave, yes i am; l actually think we'd have won big if he was still there . No matter what Auba does in future , he'll always b a modernday club legend t me cos he consistently singlehandedly kept us in the Prem between 18-20' yrs

Arteta won the fa cup almost immediately when he came in. He didnt have his own team to fit his vision until now. I was more Auba out, and the oldies in the team needed to go rather than collect easy paychecks

Arteta's football was visible from the very beginning, but the quality on the pitch let him down.

Arteta knew exactly what he wanted from his players from day 1 and how he wanted the team to play. Unfortunately, a lack of quality in the squad, some disruptive characters, expensive dead weights, watching AFC was like watching 11 soloists who had no idea what their teammates were doing. Breaks in play meant en masse training sessions on the touchline, like U14s. The best thing that happened was no European football. It meant Arteta had the time to bring in new players but crucially, train them to play and execute the game plan and style he wanted. Some great signings, proven winners from Man City, plus Odegard and a repurposed Xhaka, they are really purring.
