Only those members with private portfolios are wealthy...most of the property like Windsor Castle and the London Palaces belong to the Crown Estate...aka the Government. The Crown Jewels are also property of the State, with some exceptions. Balmoral and Sandringham are private residences passed down to the reigning Monarch.
