The Carbon Flash 3LT/Z51 is my most expensive spec yet but such a blast to drive with the power top.

Just stumbled on your channel by accident and love your honesty and transparency. I am from Canada and there is a few differences in our lending criteria from banks and our allocations for corvettes , but GM Canada is always trying their best to get our percentage up . If you have a car loan here it is added to your total dept service ratio Snd effects your credit . We have rumoured 14 2023 Z06 corvette coming or being built 2022. From what Canadian bloggers are saying . I was luck to get a 2020 Artic white 3LT Z-51 coup and a 2021 3LT Z51 torch red convertible . Love them both . My fully loaded Z06 has a build date for mid December. With tbe extra Trudeau luxury tax it is just under $200,000 Canadian dollars for transparency and to give your viewers a gauge . Keep up the good work .

I have a video on the 2022 C8R payment talking about equity rollover. I could have been more elaborate on this part but I roll about 50k in equity from the previous car forward into this one. I like to stay around 50% debt to value out of the gates incase the car market collapses and with these interest rates. Rates are up almost 1% since I financed this car.

Just as an option since you roll equity from one car to the next, I bought my 2021 Stingray in the following manner: Joined a credit union for $5. PenFed offers a payment saver loan. In the 12 months I waited for my car, I put away $40k and put it on the car when it was ready. I financed the $44k remaining and the payment saver 36 months is $351 per month. I can take the money I am putting away each month and pay off the car in July 2024, or sell or trade the car. I don’t work for a credit union but I am an Investment Advisor Representative so I always check out the best financing options. You can save and invest $$$ while purchasing. Just an option to consider.

Thats great advice. I will look into that. I have been researching open ended leases as well to only pay sales tax on the amount used as opposed to the whole car.

My advice is shouldn’t you buy a house first with a garage ? But it’s the other way around you have corvette with no Garage 😅 makes no sense too me!

Great info, my Hypersonic Gray, 2LT was built this week and should arrive next week. Just curious if that insurance quote was for 6 month premium and what your age is. I was told my C8 wouldnt be much more than I was paying for my 2017 SS Camaro

It should be close to your Camaro. I'm in my late 20s and the premium is for the full year with paid in full discount. I company hop almost every year. Seems to get better rates for me.

My allocation comes in next month. One thing I’m worried about is the interest rate. Back then we can get at least 2.0-2.5. We even got a 0% finance without any promotion or incentives. Now days the starting interest rate is around 4-5 for new car and it does not matter the fact that your income is 200k or 250k. It’s unbelievable

You're better off putting that cash into the crypto market while it's on firesale rn. In about 6 months you'll have enough cash to buy this plus more to keep invested. You'll probably have enough to even go higher an purchase a lambo. I 6x my money 1.5 months ago with terra luna. Imagine if you had 6x your money. Js🤷♂️

@@JumpSquadAuto bro in total, when you include all my gains (minus losses for not selling at the right time) I've made around 150k off crypto over a two year period and could have been a millionaire on about 3 occasions had I held just a few months/weeks longer. Crypto is where it's at bro. In total I only invested around 25k of my own money over the course of those 2 years. That's absolutely no cap on that.

I've got a '20 c8, the best part is insurance: For the c8 and my wife's highlander we pay a bit under $100/mo, so the vette alone is probably about $50/mo. For fun, go price insurance for a mclaren, it's nutty.

Anything under $1000/month for a high end car is definitely not insane, can’t be working at Burger King though. I pay $900 for my Hellcat & $600 for my camaro SS. High end cars can be investments also

Cars - particularly new ones are not investments - particularly brand new ones.

@@jeffreykilpatrick3592 It depends on timing and what car. Every brand new Lamborghini is an investment. Almost every brand new Ferrari is an appreciating investment. Some cars appreciated due to covid inflation but that market is correcting.

The payment info is useful, but not without the rest of the info; down payment, amount financed and interest rate. For instance I was looking at financing 70k for 60 mos, 2.74 interest and the payment was going to be around $1300+. However now that the feds are raising rates, mu CU has doubled their interest rate.

Local small town dealer. They get maybe 10-12 stingrays and so 2-3 Z06s per year is what they expect. They only deal local and are msrp so as long as GM rewards good dealers with allocation, I will get a Z06.

I want a Z06 but if that doesn't pan out, I want to supercharge a stingray. I can get a 2LT and super charge it for around the price off a fully loaded 3LT Convertible so it be for the numbers.

has the paint around the headlights of any of your c8's ever peeled ? my 2022 started peeling at 1k miles.. I've gotten it fixed at a dealer and it started peeling again 2 days later

I have seen a few cars with the corner of the headlight meeting the bumper edge causing chipping. I think once it starts they have to take the bumper off and repaint the whole thing. Touchup is what dealers have been doing but its not holding. Have you ever bottomed out the front end? I have a theory that if the bottom scraps ever, the flex makes the two contact and cause chipping.

@@JumpSquadAuto never bottomed out, the dealer I took it to had to take the entire bumper off , adjust thr headlights to a certain spec , repaint.. it took them about 7 days . After it started peeling 2 days layer I decided not to mess with it for a while. I'll take it back right before the warranty expires I guess

GM dealers have a shim kit that they can install, so the edge on the headlight does not dig in the paint.

All 3 have come from 3 different dealers but I try to find out how many cars a dealer gets a year and their waitlist before placing an order and make sure they are MSRP. This one was a cancelled order. It seems stingray wait times at most of the dealers around here has shrunk to about 6-8 months. Few dealers are closer to 4 months but toss up as they are small dealers with small lists.

I’m also in new England , itching to drive mine - spring is almost here. I have a 2019 Grand Sport, and I go back and forth on keeping or trading in for a C8. Mine is paid off, so not sure I want to spend the extra money

@@famousartguymeme The car market has flipped drastically in the last 60 days. Lower - mid spec C8s are still holding well but highly optioned ones aren't doing so hot in terms of appreciation. Value hold is still above the rest of the market so thats good. Lambos and Mclarens are taking a beating at auction......G-Wagons are getting shredded at auction as well.

They are the oem Chevy all weather floor mats. $196 from Chevy but around $150 online. Part number is 84534619. I have had the same mats on all 3 C8s now and they are easy to clean and fit really well. Highly recommend. Thanks for watching!

@@snaketheworld1 Make sure removing it doesn't cause you to lose price protection! Double check that because base price went up 2300 in June so if you change your order for the constraint you may lose price protection I believe. I have given the tip on a few videos now but I avoid accessories until I have an allocation and weigh price protection against the constraints because you can always get those accessories less at the parts counter or an online gm vendor.

@@JumpSquadAuto I'd love a new wide body Redeye as well, but I'd need to trade my 2015 Cat in and give them another 40k or so and can't justify it. I'm lucky enough to be getting my 2022 TRX (Blue level 2) delivered any day that was ordered in May. I'm #6 on a list at a smaller dealer for a ZO6 at msrp but most likely looking at a 2024 due to small allocations. Beautiful ride you have. I had a 2012 45th Camaro with the Carbon Flash. @@realkingrav2265 it varies so much by state and driver. I moved two years ago and my insurance went down 10% cause my new address was a safer town...10 miles over. So best bet is to have GEICO or one of the online companies throw a quick free quote out
