Thank you. My dad tragically passed following what may could have been a fairly simple fix in which didn't lead to such a horrific snowball effect the last 3 months of his life and ultimately causing his early demise from this world and and our lives . Long story VERY short (please note there are, obviously many other details), but my dad went to a hospital due to having a mild case of pneumonia, in which he did have COPD, so yes, a hospital was needed at the time to monitor and help him with that. OK, fine. But this is where everything went horribly wrong. A few days prior, my dad had fallen and unknowingly broken his hip -mind you he was only 58 years old.-. The fall created a very small fracture that other professionals at a completely different hospital than the initial first one he went to, along with the doctors/specialists who -*-did-*- finally listen to my dad and helped him the very best they could and tend to this problem, said he more than likely would never had needed surgery for had this previous hospital just listened to my dad along with us, the family, in doing a simple xray to check for a break (this hospital was treating him for his mild pneumonia). Instead, they completely ignored my dad and Instead, made him continuously get up and walk around -WITH A BROKEN HIP- to help try and fight the premium as they said. My dad just figured they knew best and that his hip was probably fine and just bruised and sore from the fall . Once he got out of that hospital and discharged home, his leg started swelling really bad. We then took him to a different, more respectable and larger hospital who checked it out, did x-rays, and confirmed to see what appeared to be a teeny tiny hairline fracture that, due to the negligence of the former hospital by not looking into it AND insisted on my dad continue to walk on it, ended up causing it to break further to the point that it now could only be fixed via surgery and not through any safer means for him especially withl COPD. We all knew what that meant. It wasn't safe for him to have surgeries anymore due to the high risks with his COPD, but, we didn't really have any other option. None of us knew if he'd make it out alive. Much to our surprise and happiness, he *did* make it out alive, but not ok. My dad had two very major strokes while being operated on. He was in a coma for 2 weeks in the ICU after that. When he woke up and came to.... Unfortunately, he most definitely was no longer his usual self. Everything just went downhill from there. Again, I left out several other details that would absolutely shock you and likely make you pretty upset amd angry at the initial hospital he checked into. The entire thing was a nightmare. My dad had to have 1 on one care the rest of his life and since we couldn't afford that, my brother and I, along with our step mom) would take rotating shifts. Mind you, u have already been doing hospice care for over a decade. Of course this time being my dad, it was personal and it's like u forgot everything I knew. I h Had to leave my job to help my dad and I'm a single mom and sole provider. My brother is disabled and lived with my dad and step mom most of his adult life. When my dad died, our step mom kicked my brother out onto the streets (we have never been fond of our step mom as she truly is the textbook definition of step moms that you see in such fairytale.). Along with all of that, you should read my dad's obituary. And after we planned my dad's set service, everyone (well, brother, dad's best friend, etc) all knew why he didn't want one. My step mom turned EVERYTHING around to make it all about her. My brother was the star of taking care of my dad in the end, if anyone should have a more "significance" in the situation. And even though I paid for my dad's ashes, etc. She has refused to give any to us. I told my brother a few months after our dad died that this isn't right. The first hospital needs to be taken accountable in some way. We just weren't really sure how. I have never gotten over that felleling. My brother is a witness to our dad's stay at the hospital there as my brother was there daily keeping him company. Now looking into all of this, I'm realizing it may be too late to get justice amd sue. We live in Oregon and yesterday was my dad's 3rd Heavenly Anniversary. If you only have 2 years to do this, then I suppose we'd be turned down. Again there's a lot more to this that has not only kept me out of work (I had to go to therapy for over a year from things i never wanted to witness my dad, or anyone for that matter to ever have to go through. It's just a lot.. Anyway, I'm still going to look into things because a hospital should NOT be clung this! It's wrong! You ALWAYS listen to your patients!! 😔💔

we have a sister who passed 30 years ago. Due to language Barriers my parents had no knowledge of the law and sadly we are still wondering how this all could happen. The hospital admitted to giving the wrong shot. Your video says 2 years so it seems like we are way out of timeline?
