Except it wasn't the mentos doing any of the work; most of it will be compressed CO2 at the top of the tank, pushing everything out like a supersoaker. The early tests are all just CO2 and water, no mentos, and they work just like the final. Sure, there's _mentos in it_, but they're mostly dissolved by the time they even open the valve.

The problem with the non mint mentos is the outer candy shell being too smooth. The nucleation of the candy without the candy layer is what generates the most bubbles.

Strength augmentation already exists the hard part would be making it self contained Plenty of factories use it even now and have for years you actuate the lifting arms and grippers just like you would if you was picking up the heavy part yourself but it does the real work using several pneumatic cylinders potentiometers and valves. You move and it moves the same direction. Many have a ever so slight but noticeable delay newer systems don't. Think ebikes with mid motor vs hub motor if you ever tried both you will know what i mean by the delay mid motor have non hub motors do. But they both work much the same as an augmented strength system for manipulating heavy parts in factories. So i suspect that between him and the hacksmith they could probably pull off a real fully self contained mech suit. High powered rc motors and gear reduction + potentiometers and a power source from a lipo battery pack and it should be feasible to be able to at least let a person lift say 350 to 400 pounds with out effort
