Welcome to my KZfaq channel. My name is Yura, I'm an all cash budgeter and for this week's video we will be cracking open my piggy bank. Earlier this year, it was really hard for me to save money especially being during the pandemic. Saving money felt like a luxury. Although I wanted to save money, it was difficult for me to put aside money when I knew that money can go towards bills, debt, etc.
I decided to go the $1 and $5 savings challenge. If you don't know what that is, it's when you save every $1 bill and/or every $5 bill you come across. This way you're able allow to save small amounts of money without putting a large chunk of your paycheck into savings.
Throughout the year, I started to work more and got tips, unexpected bonuses, picked up extra shifts and any extra money just went into the pig. Today I finally broke her open. She was stuffed to the point where it was getting difficult to fit anymore bill in her.
If you've never done this challenge and find it hard for you to save, I highly recommend it. If you're like me and would end up using your saved money, super glue the hole in the bottom so the only way you're able to access your money is by cracking it.
