Great video boys. Nice to hear details of pricing and the effort you put in. Also nice to see someone who cares about the finish and not just the cleaning if that makes sense. I see some people blast away at higher pressure to get all the lichen off as if the immediate finish is most important. You show it's more important for the long term finish by letting the biocide do the finishing touches. Great work. Thanks for sharing. Dave.

Hi from Florida USA - I would love it if you did a whole video on the scaffold and the long pole (w/surface cleaner) set up - you would end up influencing an entire industry here that does it wrong (apparently, after watching you). I figure you charged 8 x 110 = 880 - good price for a roof SO mucked up. (and you included gutters and windows). Also, consider having people apprentice with you for a day (for roofs) if they can make it to england (for $1,000) per day - would be worth it! 🙂

I asked this also on other video, but does the pole work hurt the back? I can lways get on the roof and clean it with a turbo nozzle, but i feel like there must be a more efficient way of doing this.
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh Жыл бұрын
It can be hard on your back, you don’t want to twist it, but it’s harder on your arms and shoulders I suppose. I’m not keen on using a turbo nozzle. This method is more gentle and the pressure balances the weight of the tool.

If it’s done badly then yes you could damage the roof. It’s exactly the same for a patio or driveway, it can also be damaged by someone who doesn’t take care over what they’re doing.
