The installation process of installing artificial grass is alot of work that's actually a fair price for that size $15-20 a sf. Not only do you have to remove the old grass or whatever you gotta grade soil lay a weed barrier apply 3/4 " of decomposed granite an inch of granite dust all while compacting it lay another weed barrier on top of dust then apply grass using 5 inch thin stakes so it'll stay tight and won't bubble up or float that's of coarse if he did it the right way if he only layer it over the soil it's gonna be ruined in a year or less I'm doing a job a little bit bigger than this which I'm estimating between materials and labor to be about 20k

I installed a good quality turf myself 10x20 area for 2,000 dollars. That included getting rid of old lawn and dirt. Also Tons of gravel, weed fabrics and turf was delivered to the house. Very important to do more research before giving away that much money.

@@darkstarprojekt The only labor cost was getting a couple guys to load my truck of old lawn and debris to take and unload at the dump. Everything else is fairly easy, but yes it was included in the cost. Also get -(SnapFresh Cordless Electric Scissors)-at Home Depot because it cuts the turf so much easier.

There's alot more involved than people think that'd why I take pictures of every step first you have removal of old grass or landscaping then grade soil level then lay weed barrier down then fill 3/4 inch granite/limestone chips for drainage then lay granite dust over top of chips add another layer of weed barrier with thin stakes pulling it tight then install artificial grass using thin 5 inch stakes to pull it tightly then pour a fine white sand over top and brush it around to fall down into the bottom blow clean there's probably about 2500 in material

The turf is well worth it!! I Specialize in Artificial Turf installation up in Sacramento and the turf pays for itself after about 4-5 years when compared to real turf.. after the break even point of 4-5 years, as long as you had quality turf installed you’re looking at 20 years or more of a quality looking lawn with minimal maintenance!

I purchased 200 feet for $4000 shipping and handling included and did my whole yard myself with free help from my brother. And even had some extra to do a small turf yard for my dog run. Anybody who pays this thief are just dumb or have more than enough money to not care.

This guy is ripping off all his clients I see all his videos and he completely overprices everything it could be that the area it's also a really high income area. I had a roof cover install the covers the entire patio I had a wood deck along with wood flooring with heat absorbing capability and also added some fake grass and also added flooring on the other side of the house with some fake grass added to it All that cost 12,000 or 11,700 to be exact this guy is making some money and I I cannot blame him but his customers for not being educated on prices or then again the area is expensive

How did you install it though did you use decomposed granite/limestone for the drainage with a layer of granite dust/sand over top the chips installed with thin stakes to pull them tightly so it won't bubble or blow up if you didn't install a drainage underneath its gonna go bad really fast
