Im a Junior in high school and have been struggling to find a career. There’s many directions I was thinking of going. One of them was Biomedical engineering. I heard many negative things towards this major which made me reluctant to peruse it and it almost made me dismiss this as an option. But this channel has convinced me to give biomedical engineering a try. I want to say thank you and keep up the good work! I enjoy learning about BME and watching your videos! @anagaribayy

I'm 16, and pretty decent at math and science. I'm on the 10th grade rn, i just wanna ask if this career will be in demand in the near future 2030? if not so, my second option is being an AI or Aerospace Engineer

Can you do a video on top colleges for bme or what you can do with a bme degree? Also as a bme should I be interested in computer science or electrical/mechanical engineering too

We'll add that to the list, Bob! I never got into CS or electical/mechanical, but I would say that skills like Solidworks are a good thing to practice. It depends too on what field you want to work in? medical devices, regulatory, research, etc :)

@@TheBMELife Thanks so much for that. I have always wanted to be a paramedic growing up. But I felt a strong calling to do something else. And to do that I had to weigh all my interests and consider my parents opinions before deciding to study BME. I love the opportunity to help people, to talk to them inform them everything will be alright, as well as the love for building and designing things. So I saw BME as the perfect opportunity to combine the two interests

@@J24985 I’m saying that according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary of a biomedical engineer is $91K in the USA. Obviously depends on location, years of experience, etc. But the fact is -that is the average salary. Hope this helps! 😊

Compare costs of living in such cities, weigh advantages and disadvantages. Scholarships are always GREAT, but just make sure you consider other things too 😊

Hi Mehak! Unfortunately, I really wouldn't be able to answer your question as I don't know anything about ASU. However, I can tell you that I am strong believer that a good student will be great wherever they go. Yes, good universities can help with resources, but at the end of the day, if YOU are a hard working individual, you will succeed anywhere you go. 😊

Don't let anyone's negativity bring you down! BME is an emerging field! As long as you fill yourself with experience in your undergrad, you will come out with many opportunities and paths to choose from :D I'm excited for you and what you do in the future

I’m a BME and have many BME friends who are employed (we all graduated during a pandemic). I’m sorry you’re currently unemployed but let’s not discourage people from pursuing a good career. Our channel is living proof that you can certainly make it out there.

@@TheBMELife you and your friends may be employed, but thereare many who are not, and those I know who are employed are not employed in the field of biomedical engineering. I think it is wrong to encourage people to go into this major when this bachelors degree is largely worthless in the job market. sure some may find it useful, but most will not and will suffer for the mistake of choosing BME as a major.
