I only meant here that when they were interviewing people from all domains IT ,MBA and all sectors public private, it would be a little more enriching to know what all tools , software these people work on and what purpose these tools are used for , how they are used etc. Like for myself,i am cse engineer myself,i work with the state government and office,Excel does the job. So if i know what tools do they use for in Private sector to deal with data, i could try them same tomorrow if have to deal with large amount of data or do multiple things on data which aren't possible in Excel without coding.

@@irfan.al1 ooo got it. But the thing is consultant don't deal with data themselves. Data analytics in the company already give them a polished version of data from which conclusions can be drawn like what percentage of people go through the second page of a website. Consultants are all about research and deck making. For making decks they usually go for PowerPoint or sometimes figma

Sometimes they do need an interactive dashboard so they use power bi. Other than that I am sure they don't use any tools unless they are specifically working for a company that they themselves use it somewhere in the value chain

@@lost8886 I studied in KUD karnataka university Dharwad. Fee is less for poor background family here. It was 8000rs per annum. Hostel also 2700rs per annum. For SC, ST its 4700rs college fee and free hostel and they will get 1000rs per month fund from university. No campus. Lots of small companies are in bangalore, after lots of hardwork, struggle and after completing 2 years of experience then got offers from different companies. I would say bangalore is the best option for freshers.

MBA from an good college gives you a 12 lpa package and if from top 30 colleges it's 25 lpa and if from top 10 it's 35 lpa and it's average . Highest salary goes in crores in international packages and almost 80 domestic

First of all there's no role for consultant in tier 2or 3 mba college its only available in iim and fms and XLRI, so get your facts checked first , even many baby iims doesn't offer this role, company like McKinsey, and big Bain offer this sort of role and they only comes to iim A,B,C, and maybe some tier2 iims

Not only MBB's are in consulting, there are many other firms apart from MBB's, such firms do hire MBA's from Tier 2 and 3 institutions, MBB's do recruit candidates through off-campus from other institutions provided they are able to crack their interviews which require skills.
