@@QuikVidGuy nooooooo, i know this sounds gatekeepy but avatar is north american animation, anime is specifically japanese animation, it does look simmilar but thats mostly because most of the shows aesthetics, places and culture are made to be reminiscent of asian cultures

It's kind of difficult to be an anime fan because sometimes it is straight up crazy and i can't deny or argue it. I find a way look past the crazy and enjoy the really incredible art and storytelling that anime offers (big fan of mob psycho 100 and gurren laggan) but i definitely understand why some people can't look past it and are weirded out by it.

It's so sad as a One Piece fan because people assume that a long anime has to have a drawn out plot which is like saying Lord of the Rings should've been a chapter book. The length of a story should be proportional to its scale (physical worldbuilding scale and scale of plot threads and complexity) It's the most common criticism of One Piece that it is too long yet it hurts any fan to hear because it literally is only as legendary and amazingly mind-bending as it is because of how long it is. Sorry just ranting at the void

@@gregorypan Lol all good, im watching one piece eight now and I personally love how long it is right now, for sure one of my favourites. It is long but its definitely not one of the longest shows, I dont see how it being long is a reason to not watch it.

Something else to add to the One Piece editor note. Even though all his attacks are named after weapons his Gum Gum King Kong Gun and Gum Gum Rhino Schneider are actually new moves he learned that he named after the large beasts he fought for training during the time skip.

I thought so too! It sounded like it was referring to the main characters father and how he travels the world looking to work with all kinds of different ingredients.

Maybe bc you haven't watched Toriko bc Food wars doesn't have strange and exotic ingredients, only strange but practically IRL cooking method (except for SS5 which I wouldn't recommend watching it.) While Toriko's main concept is the MC who is the gourmet hunter tries to find new and strange ingredients to create his Full course of life in "gourmet world". Example to show how strange ingredients are like Giant corn that 1 seed can make a popcorn for 100 people, Meteor garlic that you make you muscle super large like macho man and give you energy for 2-3 days, Top quality cola from the tear of Sphinx etc.
