I also share what I earned in my last 3 coop/work terms and what I am getting paid in my 4th and 5th coop term at University of Waterloo. Keep in mind it could vary depending on the school you choose and the major you pick.

Yes you do but not the actual fee you pay for your semesters but much less. I paid about $750 for coop semesters.

Hi Kashish! Thank you:) Yes that’s right. You study for two terms and then you have summer off, then again 1 study term and after that you have coop. I hope that makes sense.

Student chooses the coop program from the beginning (right when they take admission) but if marks aren't great University could put the student in Regular program instead. We also need to maintain the average to stay in the Co-op program.

Maam like, for a co op program, I chose to move out of my province or city..... Will my accommodation and dining will be taken care off by the employer or I have to pay these expenses on my own...... Does employees provide accomodation? If I have to pay for these, It will consume my co op earnings...

In most cases it isn't paid by the employer. You are responsible for all such expenses. They might give some lump sum payment if you are travelling to another province for job. Even if you are not in coop you are responsible for all your expenses so why not earn something through coop and pay for it. I hope it makes sense!

Hi Harleen!! How do companies hire student during co op as interns? Do the companies have tie ups with college/university or we have to find on our own?

The university provides a platform from where you can apply to an end number of companies. They have their tie-ups but you do give interviews for which ur trained by uwaterloo. However, In the 4,5,6 work term, people can apply outside w/o the help of the platform. I hope this helps

There isn't Yes or No answer for this. It depends on the coop you get. Keep in the mind the Engineering fee for international students at Waterloo is much higher than other programs.
