Drivers work for logistic partners that work with Amazon and depending on what that logistic company offers it doesn’t mean you get the same benefits of paid college and what not that the regular Amazon employees get like the warehouse employees.

It's the 3rd party company that determines pay. I will agree that's pretty low for having a CDL but from what i looked up they all pay the same. I was getting 25 as a regular cargo van amazon delivery driver so seeing this reminds me how disappointing this is.

It pays better than Swift. I was making 27 /hrs doing hazmat tanker. If you don't have 2 years experience this is the reality. They don't tell you this crap in CDL school. You work 70 hours a week it'll pay good lol Had a trucking company tell me they would pay me 600 a week during training. 🤨🤨

The best part about this job is that Amazon is one of the cleanest customers to deal with, big terminals, large parking areas, and easy in and out. It might pay low, but they can work anywhere after 3 years experience.

In the mid 1990’s I was driving a ten wheeler Mack DM800 hauling asphalt in the teamsters local 282 and my hourly rate was around $25.00 an hour. Plus vacation fund plus annuity fund plus pension fund. Not to impress but for reference only

I’m a truck driver, you should stay away from any job driving a rig that is offering hourly pay. Even jobs paying by the mile is hit or miss now. You want a job that pays a percent of load pay (before truck expenses)

My dad was getting paid that at yellow freight start was $16hr and top off $22-$25 hr plus time and a half after 8 hrs and $8 hr to union concessions (union pension, which was 30 yrs of service and you get to retire), free family benefits and safety, measuring dimension on pallets bonuses. That was 2002-2007 contract now we are in 2023 and yellow wants to pay the same minus pension and benefits lol no wonder workers are not agreeing to their ideas so eventually yellow greedy owners will be shut down by their own employees pretty much everyone willing to walk out and not work.

It's starting pay. Like no experience, and it's an easy job with cheap freight only weighing 9,000 lbs. If you want big bucks you have to haul what pays. That's hazmat, Tankers, reefer, flat bed, heavy haul. Don't do dry van for money. You do dry van for the experience. Unless ur hauling expensive stuff with it

To the comment about 25$ aint nothing true. But im at 28 and not maxed out yet but i do average 50-60hours every week and take home $1200-1500$ WEEKLY. And thats take home after 401k, pension, taxes, and insurances for me and my family. Making 5-6k a month again TAKE home so its wayyyy better then minimum wage

Remember they get paid 40 hours a week and only work 3 days a week. That’s 1,000 gross for 3 days of work and off 4 days. If you work 4-5 days on your request it is all overtime pay. Usually those guys work their 3 days and have other small jobs or gigs they do on the other days they’re off. And it’s one of the most easiest and non-stressful jobs in the trucking industry. 25 is low for Cali definitely but only if you’re only depending on that alone but you can get more shifts if you want. And you’re always paid 40 hours as long as you work a full 3 days of work. That’s not too bad.

Well, here's the thing, at least here in the UK after having gotten your brand new HGV licence and therefore you have zero experience, there're always recruitment agencies willing to offer you your first HGV role, however, there's always a catch, most of them will offer you minimum or anything close to, minimum wage.

I did Amazon for Heartland Express in 2015, and it paid 1100 a week. It was cool. As he mentioned, it was drop and hook. I was California and Nevada; Sparks to Sac to the Bay, Down to San Bernido over to Vegas, back up to Sparks-enough time in the day for 400 or so miles (roughly two loads). The only bad thing, at the time, was strict appointment times. No showing up early, and pick up between 3 am-4 am. I would usually sleep on the five or out in the desert going to Vegas. It was coo. I lived in the Central Valley, so I could be home every other day if I wanted to, But I liked driving- so I stayed out.

Idk if this is current but prime inc website says they pay by the mile not hourly. I'm assuming since he's local he is paid hourly since they get way less miles. As far as I'm aware OTR prime truckers make 900$ a week in training and 1200-1700 a week solo. This is just from research not experience. I don't even have my CDL A so I could be wrong.

I earn more than you. I driving a pallet jack around the warehouse, picking up orders at $26.85 per hour, plus an extra $2 for weekend shifts. If I work at night, I earn an additional $1.25 per hour when required to stay past the first shift. Overtime kicks in after the first shift and whenever I work more than 40 hours. I usually work 50-60 hours a week, but I once clocked an 85-hour week in late March. I love budgeting and invest in index funds. I work for UNFI.

I know a guy here who works only 3 days a week at Amazon but still gets paid for 80 hours. If he works a 4th or 5th day, he gets paid for a time and a half plus bonuses. He makes about 70k to 80k anually. Thats what pumped my head up to now gey my Ls. Been a delivery driver for 2 years so time to upgrade.

I'm a contracted mail carrier and there's no amzon delivery fleet around here so they dump all the amazon on us mail carriers! Peole think deliveri g the mail is such an easy job well its NOT! W have thousands of letters everyday, hundreds of packages shipped through the usps, hundreds that FedEx gives us, hundreds that ups gives us and hundreds that amazon gives us. I get paid 24 an hour but the each shift is 14 hours with a bunch of down time plus with company where im at if we finish early we still get paid for 14 hours that day my checks be about 1300 to 1400 a week before tax

amazon doesn’t dictate how much a driver makes. the driver works for a company that’s contracted to deliver amazon products. this said not all drivers delivering amazon goods get similar pay or benefits. i drive a package car delivering amazon packages and i make more than the poor guy that’s getting ripped off. amazon pays the contracted company very well they bank the money and pay the driver crappy pay.

I drive for 3rd party amazon as well. Its super easy, very repetivie had to drive back and forth between two locations all day lol. They trained me for only 2 days and let me have at it after that haha. So if you want OTR experience. But dont want to deal with training or sleeping with a dude for 1-2 months. This is for you. I had tanker experience but no one would hire me withiut OTR so i hopped on this

Those companies pay you nothing and make so much it's crazy I worked for one of them in Riverside CA cornerstone and every van was falling apart the owner didn't give a fuck about anyone all the managers at dispatch thought they were running shit and made their own rules up. Training was a Microsoft powerpoint. I left after a month it was a complete joke I don't get how packages even get delivered with how Incompetent they were I would never recommend working for them.

We get paid $30 per hour down here in Florida….California should pay more because their cost of living is though the roof….but then again everyones cost of living is high because of inflation!!!
